studies from fashion magazines... I really hate the perfume they spray on them geez! They smell so artificial. I more like the smell of paper I think.

    Hi Sushy,
Checked out your self portraits, wicked improvement from the first page to the last. Inspiring, makes me want to try something similar. Btw, if you havn't seen the book Fundementals of Drawing by Vladimir Mogilevtsev, it's one of the most precise system of planes I've seen in a drawing books. It's really helped me.

Tb0ne Thanks, I did see that book, but when I try to buy it the whole site switches to russian XD And then I stop buying it because my russian is not that advanced yet 0_______0
Are there also European sites selling it? xD
that book sure looks helpful and I did consider buying it. :3

Liberty thanks iiivii, nice to hear. I plan on making it a big painting xD

OK it was about time to update this thing. I am currently at 3000/5000 words of my essay o___o
    I HATE IT SO MUCH

    Anyway here are some thingies
This is my first try at doing something with perspective. I set up a grid which did not turn out working like it did in the tutorial of enliiigthen but I managed to make the thing fill up with colour and rotate it and gooosh
maybe Photoshop CS3 Exxxtended is too old for this already? I dunno, maybe I just missed a step.
Anyway, I drew crappy cubes. Which I barely knew how to do.
I really must practice perspective more *sigh*

^ some random thingies... Studies of one of our goats, this one is called Fleur. And I drew from my manniken again lolol

And here are the usual hands studies...

    Sushy,
The book is available as an English PDF once you order it from 4-Art. The only problem with the PDF is that it's highly compressed and as a result the images are poor in quality. Considering that, I would recommend buying the book in Russian which also include the English PDF, rather than just the PDF.
Also, I'm pretty sure you can place your order through Amazon.com rather than 4-Art. Perhaps email the folks at 4-Art (they have a rep that speaks English very well) and ask them if it's possible to order off of Amazon and still get the pdf (as I'm pretty sure it still ships from 4-Art).

I like the latest studies you have here. I'm not sure how much you have drawn in perspective before but honestly I can't imagine beginning to learn it in Photoshop. Vanishing points often have to be far off the 'page' in order to avoid fish-eye lens like distortion and from my experience Photoshop is somewhat of a pain in the ass in that regard. I found on paper I can make a small composition box taking only a small portion of the page and place my vanishing points a more manageable distance away. Perspective can be technical and I just felt that Photoshop added additional technical challenges to something that's already technical enough (at least at first).

@Tb0ne: yeah I noticed that in the preview version. xD Ah yeah I could email them indeed!
And I barely ever drew in perspective... I do not understand it well XD
Uuuh yeah maybe I should do it on regular paper... but then I get all confused on how to use a ruler and stuff. That is why photoshop seemed easier for me hehe
I have been using photoshop since I was fourteen (22 now) so maybe I am just used at it xD
I will try it on paper too though. I think drawing traditionally is very important for artists.

Suz rocks the house. These Bridgman studies are looking fine!
Also some of the hand studies look good and accurate, while some not so - well, they're studies, that's why they're not perfect. Still, a fine job there!

    Hey Sushy,
I like the variety in your work and your fluid lines,
The only crit i can give you is to try to work with different shapes,
look out for your edges in some digitals too.
Other than that you're on ur way! Keep pushing it!

I'm inspired Sushy! Took me a bit but i got through your whole sketchbook. I like how you tackle a variety of things and your use of color in still-lifes and photostudies was good in the start and just gets better and better. I'm gonna start doing that as well, cuz i'll get pretty clueless trying to deal with color in imagination pieces, so hopefully that will help. Great job and looking forward to seeing more.

No I just started counting the hands studies after a while.
You can see the starting somewhere in the earlier pages of this thread.

So... today was quite a relaxed day even though my parents arent that relaxed if you get what I mean... Anyway, The massive deadline was tackled and today just consisted of.... waking up, feeding the hamster, paint a bit, vector a bit, study some more... etc...

Here is some photo study I feel like I cannot work on anymore xD
