First one: GASP, a lizard!
Second one: F-yeah, two more miles!
Third one: why, do I have to put up with this.
haha indeed Flashback
Here are some stuffs I have been working on...
Photostudy.. Tried to use flow instead of opacity trick :V
that was weird
studies from fashion magazines... I really hate the perfume they spray on them geez! They smell so artificial. I more like the smell of paper I think.
And this is my first encounter with SAI!
It is so different than Photoshop 0.0
I kind of like it though, it is very focused on painting.
A picture I worked on a bit on stream:
*yawn* why am I so tired lately...
Checked out your self portraits, wicked improvement from the first page to the last. Inspiring, makes me want to try something similar. Btw, if you havn't seen the book Fundementals of Drawing by Vladimir Mogilevtsev, it's one of the most precise system of planes I've seen in a drawing books. It's really helped me.
Tb0ne Thanks, I did see that book, but when I try to buy it the whole site switches to russian XD And then I stop buying it because my russian is not that advanced yet 0_______0
Are there also European sites selling it? xD
that book sure looks helpful and I did consider buying it. :3
Liberty thanks iiivii, nice to hear. I plan on making it a big painting xD
OK it was about time to update this thing. I am currently at 3000/5000 words of my essay o___o
I HATE IT SO MUCH
Anyway here are some thingies
This is my first try at doing something with perspective. I set up a grid which did not turn out working like it did in the tutorial of enliiigthen but I managed to make the thing fill up with colour and rotate it and gooosh
maybe Photoshop CS3 Exxxtended is too old for this already? I dunno, maybe I just missed a step.
Anyway, I drew crappy cubes. Which I barely knew how to do.
I really must practice perspective more *sigh*
I got stuck on the lightning too as you can see XD
^ some random thingies... Studies of one of our goats, this one is called Fleur. And I drew from my manniken again lolol
And here are the usual hands studies...
And I end this update with the photostudy of a lovely deeeer...
Oh and play this music when I enter ze room:
The book is available as an English PDF once you order it from 4-Art. The only problem with the PDF is that it's highly compressed and as a result the images are poor in quality. Considering that, I would recommend buying the book in Russian which also include the English PDF, rather than just the PDF.
Also, I'm pretty sure you can place your order through Amazon.com rather than 4-Art. Perhaps email the folks at 4-Art (they have a rep that speaks English very well) and ask them if it's possible to order off of Amazon and still get the pdf (as I'm pretty sure it still ships from 4-Art).
I like the latest studies you have here. I'm not sure how much you have drawn in perspective before but honestly I can't imagine beginning to learn it in Photoshop. Vanishing points often have to be far off the 'page' in order to avoid fish-eye lens like distortion and from my experience Photoshop is somewhat of a pain in the ass in that regard. I found on paper I can make a small composition box taking only a small portion of the page and place my vanishing points a more manageable distance away. Perspective can be technical and I just felt that Photoshop added additional technical challenges to something that's already technical enough (at least at first).
@Tb0ne: yeah I noticed that in the preview version. xD Ah yeah I could email them indeed!
And I barely ever drew in perspective... I do not understand it well XD
Uuuh yeah maybe I should do it on regular paper... but then I get all confused on how to use a ruler and stuff. That is why photoshop seemed easier for me hehe
I have been using photoshop since I was fourteen (22 now) so maybe I am just used at it xD
I will try it on paper too though. I think drawing traditionally is very important for artists.
Only some Bridgman for today -____-
I have to work on my essay again
Psssht and I updated my self-portraits thread...
@Kerah: yeaah well some of those hands studies were done when I was really tired so maybe that was it... Or I just didnt catch them well, oh well I am glad to hear there are good ones between them
Why am I so sleepy... :V
Here is today's still life from stream..
I am not so happy about it, it is not as accurate as a photo! >
^practice stuff for my visual diary :V
Some vanderpoel sketches...
OK next update should have some stuff from imagination... Else it is just study study study blabla here LOL
@Liberty: I REALLY SHOULD DO THAT IF ONLY I FOUND THE TIME AND SUCH
Oh and a good story lolz
I am working on comics though, I do have a web comic :V
Andd I work on some other thing too but it progresses really slowely.
I do not have much to update with lately... v__v
I seem to be in my unproductive phase again RAAAAH
And I really hate writing this paper >____>
Anyway, here is some Bridgman again :V
And a photostudy...
Oh and these are silly sketches I am making for my presentation for school..
They are just illustrations to go by the story. I keep it simple since there will be a lot of them.
Wow...lotza kewl schtuffs since I last looked in. Loving all the life studies/bridgeman, hands, inks etc.
Shaodin Kick turned out great!
Really digging your color sense on this one!
The train is kewl...have you done any more on it?
Anywho...great to see all the werk! Mo' please!
Jephyr X Thanks man Yeah I will finish that dark greenish painting when I have made more time for it xD
I did some more on the train... As it reaches closer to finish it is hard to decide what to add...
Creusa yeaaah and this update contains lots of pen sketches! :V
Today was a long day at school -.-
I did not update yesterday btw because I had no internet whaaa
Here are the sketches I did in class/train/bus today. :V
Some are done really quickly xD
Lumens haha I have no idea, I did like pokemon in the past though. I tried to draw a company's building I have worked for in the past.
Wasabi89 daah edges. Still do not know what to do with them correctly. I barely know what they are still xD I really need a painting tutor. :V
*yawn* I am so tired today... Long day of presentations x___x
And i feel so sick goosh
It started in the bus on the way home -.-
The bus accelarated while I was drawing, almost felt like I throw up
Sketches from bus/train/school
And here is a vector thing I am working on...
Hey, great sketchbook! I enjoy your pen sketches and computer sketches. Keep up and great work!
Thank you Whimsicaltwigs!
Homework... All this writing about art really makes me insecure about my own art -_- (I am writing about art philosophy)..
I only have some Bridgman studies for you today :<
and from my visual diary yesterday :V
I'm inspired Sushy! Took me a bit but i got through your whole sketchbook. I like how you tackle a variety of things and your use of color in still-lifes and photostudies was good in the start and just gets better and better. I'm gonna start doing that as well, cuz i'll get pretty clueless trying to deal with color in imagination pieces, so hopefully that will help. Great job and looking forward to seeing more.
blindshot Yeah Bridgman seemed like that indeed. I find studying from him hard though, he really has a feeling for rhythm it seems, while I do not have that raaaaah XD
browntear thanks man Glad to hear it inspired you
I REALLY MUST
so sorry, no stream for today 0___0
Here is an illustration about my feelings :V
And here are thingies from the little sketchbook:
And finally... Hands studies..
+ inspirational music for my....
@Liberty: YEAAAAH I AM MAD
No I just started counting the hands studies after a while.
You can see the starting somewhere in the earlier pages of this thread.
So... today was quite a relaxed day even though my parents arent that relaxed if you get what I mean... Anyway, The massive deadline was tackled and today just consisted of.... waking up, feeding the hamster, paint a bit, vector a bit, study some more... etc...
Here is some photo study I feel like I cannot work on anymore xD
I figured I really want to draw goldfish again:
And I did some box studies to finally learn a bit about perspective 0___0
Oh and this is the result of that future train (doesnt difference much with older version but oh well)
@huha: I did what where? :V
Yeah I like vector stuff sometimes!
tomorrow graduation preparation stuff again :V
Anyway, here are some new things:
I finished that vector and I entered it for a contest. If it gets enough votes it will be printed on a T-shirt
Please vote for me by hitting the "I would wear this"-button at this page:
