    Hi Sushy !
I think you should try some constructed observation with a pencil. I never though about it but you almost always do your obs with ballpoint, which is good, but forces you to draw without construction. That leads you to some proportion issues, which you should be able to fix in no time with a good constructed base.

    Hoping this helps you !

Edit : Oh, by the way, that gundam is absolutely awesome. : D

Thanks for the response on my sketchbook a while back, sorry about the untimely return of favour.

Your pencil work is getting better, try lightly sketching in an armature for your characters however, it'll give you a better sense of how your character will work in 3d when you put the final lines over the top, and your contours will start reflecting that, at the moment your characters are looking a bit flat because you're focussing solely on the lines rather than the form.

Shad- Thanks, I actually tried some pencil sketches today. It does allow more time to construct something.

BlightedArt thanks, I will try that XD I am not a very patient sketcher still 0_0 have to work on that

I had a long day at school today.
So here are some crappy school/bus/train sketches from life and some from imagination...

Seriously, yesterday I looked at some gundam movies on YouTube and something came to my mind:
This is love. I discovered true love

    for gundams that is

So yeah I must learn how to draw them.

And other stuff tooo I guess.

hey sushi; I really like where those pen drawings are going. some lack a bit of definition though. they become stylized in a flat way. maybe give a little extra study to shapes in space, perspective and how to put the human form into it (foreshortening and such) keep it up!
    Warning, I draw babiez

ashess thanks I should study more indeed. Those pen drawings are often done really quickly (less than 5 minutes or so) because they are done in trains/buses/class etc XD I could study the head better in my free time though

Most of the time it is just background matter though XD Whut did you check all the 15 pages? Lol then you probably saw it going from zero to ... something more than zero :V

Aww, now that looks like a depressing mood! Hope you feel better by now.

I do like the raven image though, doesn't really matter that it is not so defined in some areas, because the black wings in front of the light background read very well in my opinion.

Good luck with your graduation stuff

@Liberty: Yeah? Well that is good I guess

@Lyriana: to be honest not really, though I am more tired now than depressed. I am glad you liked that photostudy a bit then

    Well, hello.
Today I had to get up really early to catch the train to catch the bus to find out that stupid teacher was late. >__> I could have gone catching a later train. I hate it when that happens.
Anyway, it was also super cold and now I am sitting here with freezing hands :<
why do I get so cold so quickly gaaahhh

OK here is something to make myself happy:

    /gundamtard

    And now... the drawings!

and your gundam wasnt too bad
when you meant change the backround, i get what you mean, but i dont think that would aid my coloring as such, but yes it wud aid the image as a whole, and yeah ill steer clear of whites

Hey! You're studies are really coming along well, but I think, or at least from what I've seen, your not paying attention to what the light is doing to the colours in your personal pieces. Okay so like in the crow study a few posts up there were these yellowish highlights on the wings, the light was affecting the overall dull monochrome-ness of the crow and making the colour well yellow haha...
this is something you don't really utilize in your pieces.
Sorry for the overly long and quite possibly confusing explanation, just something to keep in mind. ^_^

I'll never tell you enough to keep rockin' as hard as did since the first post of this thread.
Lord when I come here , barely satisfied with the day's production, I end up totally depressed, feeling like a drawing larva.
That means you're on the right way!
About props : it became amazingly better since my last post here. Don't know if it's because of pencil or because you just moved to another "level", but yay it's great =)
Your feets are, I think, better than your hands. More feeling on those, and more volume too. Some of your hands look flats but keep on, I know you'll make this problem disappear in no time !

For still lifes, I think you should work on edges first. I have in mind your study of a coke can, wich has the right colours on it, but is a bit "twisted" to the left. If you payed more attention to the edges, it would ahve been totally vertical !

Keep rockin', you'll go far Sushy : D

(Ho god Vanderpoel seems amazing for anatomy. I'll have to check this guy.) (Yeah I said it several times yet. ><)
