With commission work like that how can you ever get bored? Boobies are fun to draw! xD
The site's been getting hacked up for awhile, 3 days straight... But Black Spot and friends were there to save the day.
also, nice hand studies and I hope to see more mans from you soon!

The cup snapped ragged mug is rendered pretty decently, and your understanding toward
values has kicked in to a new level through the second isolated window. As I understood,
the last painting is a zombie attack on Aladdin, sitting on his magical carpet. Actually,
the zombies don’t know who they are dealing with, they couldn’t even approach him,
not to talk about attacking him. I like the pose of the left zombie and how the small
indication of visible ribs can create the absolute feeling of his rottiness and fall apartiness.
Sometimes you can pull of magic like this, with such a small radical moves. Just like Jöger
Kalistos did things in his prime time. I would also like to highlight the space painting, as
the cyborg is hibernating in his lung cleaning chamber. It strongly reminds me on Quake
Quattro, in the space the marines when they were combined up with the Strogg race. This
is half transition between a regular human and a hybrid strogg. I hope that makes any
sense. You did steps forward with your imagination also, and the technical skills got
heated up also. You have to have a happy new year and all the best in the future.

@LtPlissken: thank you *v* The last painting is actually inspired from a book, where they have this shaman that has access to the dream desert xD the other people you see are people that got in the dream desert by accident. Vague stuff XD Yeah I really like human/machine hybrids :3 You also a happy new year lieutenant

Auu the second snake is smiling at me im no expert on snakes so forgive me if im wrong but his face does seem to be messed up top half is fine the bottom half though seems to be shaped wrongly and the top right left of his mouth seems to be stretched, first snake looks good though, the chow's pretty cool as well.

    Nice updates!
I like the snake studies, but while it's out there I'd also like to add a crit.
There seem to be a lot of hard edges, notably in the mouth. I think the use of a softer brush would prove to be a quick fix.
    But as always, good job

    good stuff!

Hi sushi good progressions! bit of feedback the images dont seem to have much tonal/value variation making them look kinda flat, a quick way to see the values is to put a layer on top bucket fill it black and set the layer to saturation, to show you what i mean i did it on your concept i hope you dont mind! very quickly added atmospheric perspective to the behind the character in order to separate and draw attention to it from the background,

anyways Keep up the good work!

Lol yeah that's a weird looking snake.
Liking the last piece especially the background, think the top hand looks a bit too big imo but thats all I can really see wrong with it.

As far as I can see your sketches hasn't had any noteworthy development since you started this sb, so you definitely need to try something new and drastical with your work. I don't know what you want to achieve, but if you want better looking sketches I'd suggest looking up other artists who has mastered the art of lines and shadow, study their technique and then apply it to studies so that you learn anatomy etc. Especially striking to me is that you need to work on your line quality. You have thick lines in all the wrong places. For example on the silhouette of a face in profile, you should apply as thin a line as you possible can manage, optimally just one line if you are condfident enough, because theres no buildup of shadows there like there would be under the ear or around the eyes. another factor associated to line-tickness is the distance to the objects in your composition. If they are closer to the viewer, thicker lines would look more natural. But there's no need for me to write all that down. Now look up some good visual resources. It's all there.
Your recent hand studies are pretty nice and confident though. I like them.

Axelga2112 Thanks, I appreciate your honesty. I wonder what that new and drastical thing should be. I looked up some artists with good linework now. Let's see if I can make that too

Really great construction studies in post #1055, but I don't see that you've actively applied that understanding to your own work; a lot of your imagined stuff doesn't have that same solid construction to it, so always try and be aware of your perspective while drawing and how things are constructed in 3D space. Other than that, it's great to see a lot of work coming out of your page; quite prolific. Keep it all up!

MrFrenik Thank you, yeah I find it hard to use this construction in my imaginitive work because it feels "stiff" if I construct it all. I really should do it though!

My computer fcked up twice today :< (had the first blue screen since ages and the other time it just froze)

    Steady and good
I think I can tell that the screenshot is from Alien or its sequel.

Kerah Vlad! How have you been! Yeah it is from Alien. Never watched the movie though :V

Okay so I decided that I want to have lines like Jana has in her sketchbook (well not exactly the same, it should not be a copy). This is a good example I think: http://conceptart.org/forums/attachm...7&d=1237973631
so yeah, how do I get lines like that, huh? XD

It appeared to me that she draws a lot of naked people. So I did that too :v
this is probably the lamest try on improving but oh well
it is quite fun, not having to think about clothes and all

There is also a quick self-portrait in it. I tried to focus on linework though. 0_0

Hey Suz, the studies aren't bad. More dynamic though! Draw quicker and try not to overthink it
I've been good. I visited huha in Poland and been to Berlin

    Hope you're swell!

nice sketchbook, your colors are good I would recommend to do a lot of head and face studies, learn how to construct a head from base up and build it so it will look in 3D space, remember that the most important feature in the body is the face that is the very first thing a viewer looks at it is natural to all human beings and if the face is off the viewer is not going to bother to look at the rest of the painting. cheers!
