It's nice to see you pushing on and on with your studies, despite being tired from work and all. And it does pay off, your work seems more confident with each update.
Random comment: I really like your pen work and hatching, looks so clean and steady!

What do you do for work, sushy? I hate my job too, but it at least pays the bills and I still have time to work on art/design enough to have hopes of one day doing that professionally.

MrFrenik I work at a software company, developing in ASP.NET and stuff. I cannot stand errors. As a software developer, you are scrued then. :V

These bunnies in pen look EVIL! I can tell, look at them chewing the grass like they mean it!
I'm glad you entered the ChoW thing too. I can't believe you are showing this cute animal's last moments, I wouldn't want to see it go
If you wish, I can point out some things that went wrong with the ChoW work - technicalities mostly. Just say the word.
    Anyway, Cheerio for now!

Hallo there. Think things are coming along nicely, keep up those anatomy studies because your faces tend to come out either long or wide although it seems right in your Chow piece
I actually really like how you did those clouds in first sketch of #756, keep looking critically and interpreting what you see effectively like that

Kerah Oh yeah those bunnies were evil already when I drew them from ref. Sure it is a cute animal... But don't most people eat meat? I do not see how an animal's cuteness makes a difference. I think cows, chickens and pigs have the same rights. XD
Anyway please do say what went wrong with this work, good for future reference :V

    Creusa

TFsean thanks, I experience it is very hard to draw clouds with ballpoint pen or pencil xD Usually I get things that don't look much like clouds I think...
Anyway, I will keep studying :V

Congrats on the new tablet Suz!! It looks pretty awesome. My intuos3 doesn't appear to wear off, although my intuos mileage is probably not close to yours - my pencils are taking all the attention

A bit of (hopefully) helpful ChoW critique :
The pole of the weapon works like an illusion, I know it should appear like an elongated and straight cylinder but it isn't. I think it's mostly because of how you shaded the part where the hand holds the weapon, it makes it look "broken".

The whole pose and the hands seem a little too stiff, I'd suggest doing quick gestures and thumbnails to capture the wanted motion and working big (and detailing later).
I think that's enough of critique, never liked giving any - feels like I'm purposefully downgrading your work although that isn't what I want to do.
Anyway, hope it was helpful Suz.
    Cheerio!

Saara_ It does work, but the surface feels a bit strange (though I find the surface of the intuos5 strange anyway)

    Jyou Thanks

Kerah My intuos3 was quite old, it has been almost 5 years I think :V and I of course scratch like a madman I guess
Argh fixing stiffness in figures is so hard XD I really should do some gestures indeed, I do not want my figures to stay stiff foreverr :V

Alex Eh thank you, Alex-sama *v* Please share your animu musiccu

Wow! An Intuos 5! I read that it's sensible
on finger touch also? So cool. Surface wearing out?!?
You are scaring me. Can that really happen? What
happens when the surface wears out? It will not
register the pen touch any more?

    @LtPlissken: thanks :>
Oh yeah that is true, every tablet in fact has this. It depends on the tablet and the amount you use it how fast it wears out. For intuos3 there are spare surfaces available I think.
However for the intuos5 there is no replacement surface. You would have to send it back to wacom to fix it. I have never had a tablet loosing pressure sensitivity though. There just come scratches on it that remain. It can be annoying when drawing. That is why I am going to try to keep this tablet as good as possible.

This song was very needed today:

It is also the answer to the question "When will I stop drawing?" Answer: Till I collapse :V

No, tell me! Maybe we could battle someday, lol. I recently bought a 3DS, but I haven't opened it yet coz I wanna focus on drawing and painting, lmao. Come to think of it, it's been a month or so since I bought it, hahha. Legend of Zelda 3DS bundle for the win!

    Do more master studies!

@Lyraina: thanks I am glad someone likes it :>

OK today I did not get much done... First work... which drains all my energy.
And then I launch photoshop and it freezes on start-up! I have this problem for a while now. I disabled the TWAIN and now I have also reset it to factory settings.
    I hope that helps :/
Else I am out of tricks :<

I even had nightmares about it last night.
So yeah not much digital work done today.
    Here is some Bridgman:
