@hu-ha: WOOHOO GREAT. I definately will do a daily self-portrait thread. I will wait a week or something though. School is hectic lately >__>
Yeah markers are cool! Barely use them but they are cool.

    Sooooo updates...
Can't wait for school to end! (worked very long on my homework today, it got me almost braindead)
Then I finally have time to do some decent drawings...

Oh and this is done for the study group

    1. Random ballpoint sketches from photos.
    2. A photostudy! (got frustrated with the background... It was full of bricks!)
    3. some gestures at night (5:00 AM, couldnt sleep...)
    4. sketches from train
    5. Vannderpoel studies
    6. More from the train.

Wow nice update Sushy, really impressing how much you draw from life. I guess that is really useful! I want to do that as well but still I find it really hard to do.

@mitchoo haha well I don't draw that much from life actually I am just slow at scanning it all!

    Sooo... Update time!
    Self-portrait, hand stuff
And things from life (we had a family party last night in some interesting house with really old furniture and stuff)

the last one is slightly older by the way (from previous week during the sketchmeet (gha I need a scanning and upload slave)

also, I want to try out drawing some mecha stuff.
What is the best way to start that? For now I am just studying from some Gundam picture (WIP: http://twitpic.com/57dshm )
But I have no idea if that is the right way...

I tried a book once, but that didn't really help v_v
Any good ideas? I want to be able to draw cool robots!
(and not just gundams... I started with this one because I love gundams)

today was a bad unproductive day...

I overslept, had to go through the rain, group assignments stress and... I think I am not doing enough digital artwork D=

The first three are from today, the Loomis stuff is from yesterday evening.

@shad: I am glad it motivates you You must be like... one of the very few persons who still checks my SB lol (most of this sketchbook consists of images ONLY haha)
Well crazy thing is, I think I draw less when I am not at school o.0
When I go to school, I have to sit in a train for 15 minutes... Nowadays I use that time for drawing. And I draw at school since the classes are so boring.
So when school's over, I guess there will be less life drawings here but more from imagination...

So last night I had a dream.
I dreamt that I went to an art school. But not for regular classes (as I do not go to one in real life)... I dreamt I just walked in there, checking things out and secretly hear the lessons and such.
    So weird.

I always have weird dreams... o.0
I guess I won't try it in real life haha I mean, I think walking in a school is kinda easy as I still look like a student but I probably would be like "OK I am in the school, now what?"

Sometimes I think about going back to art school. Even in my sleep. XD

Anyway, the updates: most are from life, very few things from imagination.
I wish I could show you more "real" work but unfortunately not.

You are working hard, go you! Nice ballpoint stuff, I really love your style of hatching. Keep up the good work!

    Thanks, wooden mango!

today's update doesn't contain much work (didn't have to go to school today so no train/school sketches)...
Here are some things from imagination, studies from Vanderpoel and a study of a Gundam I am (still) working on...
That gundam is going so slowly xD
I wonder if it is even wise to do a study as this one to learn drawing Gundams/robots?

OK today was just plain "frustration day"... (Maybe it has something to do with the time of the month)
Anyway, for some reason I wanted to draw Gundams no matter how bad they would look.

And this was done for the study group... It looks weird xD

The hands were drawn in an experimental way... Which was quick and fun, but not that accurate.
And I worked some more on that gundam painting study thing and got so frustrated with it that I now just leave it as this. Better luck next time XD

Sushy does not want to do her homework right now so she updates this sketchbook while talking about herself in third person.

so... the updates... Whoa I missed one day with updating... Well that was because I was sick. For some reason I become really really really really really sick every month.

    Anyway, here they are!
First one is a digital doodle, I never doodle digitally actually so this is kinda new for me.
Second one is the reason you haven't seen much digital work lately. Every digital work I did went into this background.
Then some Gundams and things from imagination.
Oh and some observation at the end =P should have posted that two weeks ago but I am so slow with scanning...

Edit: I created my Daily Self-Portrait thread! http://conceptart.org/forums/showthread.php?t=222630

@Valyavande Thanks I will continue making drawings like that for a while since I still have to go to school (tomorrow again... Gah not looking forward to it but the free practice is good)

@Shad: Thanks I will keep working!
My self-portraits thread is here: http://conceptart.org/forums/showthread.php?t=222630
Do the Gundams look good? I feel so embarrassed when I draw them hahaha
I am just drawing them after gundam images though... I really want to be able to draw them myself but I have the idea I need lots of practice first. I feel kind of silly drawing them all from already drawn images (usually I draw from photo reference) but yeah the gundams in cartoons look prettier. =P I will try some photos of them too. I wish I could see them in real life! D=

    Updates time!
    First, some inspiration...

So this update consists of some old sketchbook sketches I should have posted weeks ago but I post so much a day that I had no time for posting them (scanning it all is so tiring haha)
The last three are done at train/school.

Oh yeah and I released a new comic at my website http://fantasypower.net
It is rather crappy but very true...

@mitchoo: yeah I forgot to scan those... I usually scan all my loose papers haha so my sketchbook gets overlooked. xD I figured there would be a new sketch meeting so I thought I really should put those up so I am not so behind schedule haha

    Today's update is only studies...
thanks to school I hardly have time to do stuff.

First one is the Justice Gundam (don't know the type name though, but I know it's Athrun's Gundam)

The other sketches were done from life... in train, bus and school...

Oh and today's self-portrait also has some gundam doodles. From imagination. I cannot really draw Gundams from imagination yet but I am working on it!

Edit: oh gosh I just started thinking... Is practicing all those Gundam drawings a waste of my time? Well actually I really want to be able to draw them. fFFFF
    Maybe I think too much.

The stress of school seems to take overhand D=
(I missed one day of updating... Oh noes)

Anyway, here are some sketches from observation and imagination...
Then, an illustration that is my new Deviant ID (for deviantART) featuring me with my dream hair and smoking pencils.

And last (I hope not least) is a Gundam I am drawing... From imagination this time! Though I use reference to see how it looks like... But it is not like I am just replicating the image.
This is a portrait of the Strike Noir. Please tell me what's wrong with it...
It is not finished as you can see

Yay Sushy, good update as usual
Gundams are getting pretty awesome, just keepdoing those
DONT let school stress you too much. You need sleep to be efficient at both school, art & social life. Try bananas, bananas are good ( It's not a joke, it really keeps me tonic all day long ^^ )

Also Loomis dump is a great thing, doing this can only help you growing

Looking forward your next update ^_^

Edit : Oh yeah, I forgot, I'm totally loving the rendering of your DeviantID

@Shad: nah I have some health issues that cannot be solved. Due to them, I have to keep a very strict diet (and one of the many many things I cannot eat are bananas, it sounds weird I know, but it's true) so no bananas for me.
I am glad you like the DeviantID, it didn't get much recognition at DeviantART unfortunately.

So next update... I do not know what happened... My productivity seems to have decreased!

    First of all, today's self-portrait:

More are at my self-portraits thread... http://conceptart.org/forums/showthread.php?t=222630

Then... Some hands studies, a car, some Vanderpoel studies and another work in progress.
Please let me know what could look better and such I would love some critics.

Your Sb is very impressive. If you manage to keep up this amount of work you will see a lot of improvement soon. The daily self-portrait is a very good idea, I'd just say take more time and use a pencil so you can push the values more that just basic pen hatching.

I'd also recommend longer still life studies, they would help push your understanding of value and three dimensionality.

    Good luck and keep updating

Hey, thanks for stopping by my SB. Your advice was very good and right now I'm going back to Loomis to study the proportions of the head better.

Nice torsos you got here good shading and it's even better when they are connected to the pelvis. That's where a lot of the motion starts (according to good old Villpu).

As for that finished piece, I think could use a stronger background, but as far as colors look it's not bad.

Finally, where is the daily self-portrait Gotta keep those updated comming, eh?

dracken Thanks. I post my daily self-portraits in a different thread: http://conceptart.org/forums/showthread.php?t=222630

MaFeng Yeah I am working on something right now (it is that Gundam)
I am planning on doing more of course.

Today's updates! (check my self-portraits in the other thread)
    1. I am still struggling with this picture. I want this Gundam to be epic and dramatic and like it should be.
So what should I do with the light? Oh gosh now I know why people do a lot of photostudies...
Anyway, I figured I want fire stuff on the background! So here is more overpainting....
Please let me know what could be better in it

    2. silly train sketches
    3. silly train sketches

    4. late night sketching of a super hero idea I had. I shouldn't draw at night. You get really weird stuff then
    (it's from imagination!)

Here is what I sketched that day (everything from life).
Today I did not do much since I have a major head-ache and barely can focus D=

oh joy today's full of fail! D=

    1. so I was like... "it must be not so hard to draw a simple plate and fork" but then... I started.
It is hard to render that freaking flower pattern. I gave up because I got stuck.
    2. Then some Vanderpoel studies.
