Right now, everything I draw is complete and utter crap. I hope that with enough practice, I can get better. I need to improve, you know?...be good at something for once in my life...I'll try to update daily...

Um... It might be that I'm stupid an' all, but... This doesn't seem like crap. At all. Unless you were going for photorealism for example, in which case- yes, you're a bit off. But it's not crap, however you look at it. It actually seems pretty good to me.
Ssooo... you should post moreAnd tell us what you're so unhappy about
Good luck!
Why exactly is this crap? Because imo it's not.
here is my sketchbook

I like your little girl. Very cute. So your work may not be the best in the world. But it's not the worst either. You should have a realistic approach to making art. Know that there will ALWAYS be people who are better and there will ALWAYS be people who are worse. As long as your interest in art is about something more than competition then those things won't matter. The most important thing is to have good IDEAS. The technical side will naturally improve and develop with practice.
Now let's see some more sketches!![]()
— SKETCHBOOK —— FINISHED WORK —
Thanks guys, for the encouragement! It means a lot I'll keep at it, and try to have fun...I want to be as good as the artists I see here, on CG Society, dA, Sijun...I'm trying to get a scanner too, so I can post pics from the real life sketchbook: anatomy studies, life drawings...
Here's today's sketch. Very rough, very quick...not very good! But I learn from every pic, so it's not a total waste...
You draw better than me are you calling me crap? XD
I like the cannon dude. You've got a good grasp of cartoon proportions. Hope to see more.
Nice style with the girl. Looking forward to seeing more.

I'm digging the gestures a lot! All of characters are really fun to look at. The expretions are really nice. I like the little studies in between pages.
I'd love to see some color on your digital stuff. maybe some shading in your pencils?

Your work is greatLove the stylization! And the line is pretty nice in most places. One advice I could offer is to try to work as loosely in your work from reference as you do when you draw something from imagination. Your studies seem a bit stiff now, compared to your other work.
Keep posting and having fun now![]()
wow you've got your own style try improve it to be able to use it for animation story so far try do more exercise for landscape to be able to support your art movement and achieve it.
good stuff i like it
i'll drope time to time to see your art and give you my comments
post and enjoey your artwork
note: try to work 2-3 houres per a day to improve your art
try to learn more skills about anatomy and colours
good luck

Windmaker: Thanks a lot!Glad you like the style...I dunno, someone told me it's a crappy style, and that I should focus on realism if I want to make it...it's kind of confusing, you know? But I'll definitely focus on making the studies more fluid, and have fun of course
qlotzan: Thank you...I'll keep trying to improve and yeah, I've been meaning to do more backgrounds...no sense in having all my characters floating in space all the time! If possible, I would draw the whole day, but between school and work, I only get about 30 min to 1 hour per day
Perhaps I should sleep less? Yes...yes...that might work!...I'll keep practicing anatomy...got some great e-books on the subject

Cool updates! I really like how expressive your characters are.
As qlotzan suggested, more studies will help you quite a lot. The last figure drawing is nice, but the messy contour lets it down a bit... And the landscape sketch above is nice as well. But a liitle bit unfinishedTry to spend more time on those sketches. Push at least one to a more finished state so that you know what you're aiming for in your faster sketches. Hope that makes sense...
Anyway- keep up the good work!![]()
really nice cartoon style you have here! would like to see some colour maybe?
