Hey this is damn cool! Brilliant concept and a very nice execution. Class. Very happily live with that on my wall.
I'll admit, I saw the thumbnail and though, someone did a sketch and put it in the finished forum. Whats with that.
Then I saw the full image.
WELL FUCKING DONE!!!
Really good design.

Thankyou everyone who has commented in this thread. It is very heartwarming indeed to get such positive response to my work
I thought I would add a couple of Tree Dancers here instead of starting something new. I am putting some together for the Bayview Art Tour coming up the end of October.
13" x 19" pencil. If you can look closely you'll see their companions that they share space with.
Nice work, would look great coloured up; especially autumnal tones.

the 3rd of 4 planned Tree Dancers at this size
I get it.
I actually had a drawing..funny, it also had a tree..that I did for my dad a long time back. And I added in a little character and it just helped it out so much. It was a pencil drawing as well.
haha I found it.

Here is the last of my Tree Ladies for this series.
Hey, thanks insanelightI was pretty pleased to sell all 4 Tree Dancers in the annual winter art show.
I'm doing some more and finally finished this one. Couldn't upload the original jpeg for some reason but a sized-down version loaded pretty fast.

I have just finished Tree Dancer In Flight - 12" x 18" pencil on illustration board. I was thinking after the fact that maybe I should have made the sparrow a bit smaller, but I wanted to show it leading the Dancer towards the viewer . . . Does anyone get that impression at all?

You did such an awesome job...
I've been invited to take part in a small art show here in Toronto in May and drew these Tree Dancers to share the walls with all the paintings.

A gallery here in Toronto puts on an annual show called Square Foot - all submissions have to be exactly 12" square by no more than 5 inches deep. You can submit up to 3 pieces. I'm going to buy some 12" frames and put Dancers in them. Here is my first of 3 pieces. I'll post the other drawings in this thread as I complete them.
(I need to figure out how to adjust the white balance on my camera - the image is coming in much greyer than it ought to be and photoshop isn't helping much)
Lotus Dancer 11" square approx.
