Iven - ill try to get some roughs up and I go to Sheridan College. You gotta open up your horizons,
don't focus on 'your style', be broad and study from life and a style will evolve.

Sweet Halloween drawings, and the caricature of your cat (avatar) is great! It's what lured me here.

    Gonna post your animations?

Really beautiful linework and use of colour.
I've said it before but your characters have excellent feel of mass and movement.
    Keep it up man.

if i can ask what is this for? was it practice? damn, theres so much emotion in your characters, its like i feel at home but im not there yet, do you practice drawing expressions from your head? or do you ref some from life and the make them more toon-ish?

this was for a friend who wanted something done for her boyfriend for Christmas...maybe 5ish hours? Not really done for practice but it was definitely good for that. Usually i dont like working from photos but i didnt have a choice on this one. I draw caricatures in class or on the bus from life all the time. I'm always thinking story which drives emotion. And yes when I doodle characters I draw expressions from my head and the mirror. Eventually it just becomes second nature and you're able to push certain emotions further and more easily. Its no secret it just takes practice. Playing with simple shapes helps a lot too, its one common thing I think beginners miss, self included.

Awesome work Sprogis7. The pink and green work wonderfully together, plus, the kittens are adorable. I personally would like to see the background more smooth to work well with the brush strokes on the characters but just a preference of mine. Everything still looks great.
