    Sprogis being sketchy

Yuuuuupppp here are some life drawings to start...and a digital concept piece.

A little background info on myself, I am a design graduate studying classical animation & film at Sheridan College in Ontario. Just here to give and receive general art feedback to improve my skills.

These ones didnt make my final portfolio for year one life drawing but I was going through some old life drawings and rather liked these ones, despite some structure issues and incomplete drawings...anyway enjoy!

No worries, I've already been critiqued on these, I know whats wrong and what I need to work on. I'll post the ones that made it into the portfolio soon so you can see the difference. All of my others have stong structure and they are all finished, no amputees

These are all first year portfolio drawings & compared to how I started the year, you'd think my prof was a genius....well he pretty much is.

GREAT characters and enviros. Also nice flow on those figures. The little animal's rendering is really something man! What did you use about the hand drawn enviros? I can see that the first WIP is something like coloured pencil. Have you ever used prismacolor or copic markers? I saw that they used them on Monkey Island backgrounds in 90s'. Have you got any advices about studying environments? Subscribed, you got a style. Keep up and take care!

Very dynamic figures, wonderful ! First artwork with the cat is very nice... and I love the tigers, are they watercolored ? What technique for the anatomy studies ? (I'm curious because they have a vintage "da vinci" look that is quite cool.)

Julia: Thank you so much, Flap-Jack was a really fun character to design!

    Frost Vixen:
Although I am in animation, I HATE animating lol I rush through a lot of it because I hate the fact that I can spend 20 hours on an animation and it turns out shitty, vs spending 20 hours on an environment and getting a portfolio piece...lol anyway ill post my most recent animation soon, just for you haha.

Mawh: Thanks! Life drawing is kinda therapy for me, after spending 8-10 hours in the animation studio I really love just going down to the life drawing studio and winding down for the night...they're done in conté on newsprint. The tigers were done in a light gouache wash on top of ink.

    Loudchai:
Thanks, I really was. Nothin better than smokin a spliff and hunting around town for cool things to draw in the spring!

aww, that's a bummer you don't enjoy it =( but yeah, it is very tedious work, especially when someone does it all by themselves. I say you should keep on practicing until you are happy with them! but I'm sure your animations look great for what they are, and I'd absolutely love to look at one that you post.
