this grabbed me- the image is weird and distrubing. This reminds me sort of some of the enemies in the last level of Phantasy Star Online, they have a borne of nightmares quality to them as well.
as far as technique is concerned, im not a good one to judge, but the blurriness of the overall image contrasts nicely with the hard edges of the tree, you might want some hard edges on the subject too to play up the advantage of that contrast.
unique.

fuck, there is a real sense of menace and uncomfortable atmosphere to this - excellent
this is a very cool original and unique concept. the subconsious is more powerful and expansive than the concsious mind. I like how you've remembered your dreams and employed them into your art.

Hey, just a quick comment about your piece. About seventeen years ago I was in my backyard playing as a kid when something flew by my head. It made the sound of a kite in the wind and it was long/black with a red zigzag line down the center of it. Whatever it was sent shivers down my spine and everything around me was dead quite. When I spun around to see what it was there was nothing there. Ten minutes later my father fell from our roof and died twice heading to the hospital. I know I saw this thing, so maybe there is some truth to your dream. Anyways, I think it is very successful/nice Illustration. - B

thats kinda scary idea
one of the reasons the dream didnt effect me much is because i knew it was just an odd dream
