I sorta decided to see if I could do a future-ish black mage, mainly sticking ti Vivi's costuming as blackmage ref as well. Not sure about it, got carried away and dont know if its really recognizable as a black mage next to the 8bit character, not sure if the pointy head reads but oh well I'll finish it and see if its acceptable.

I went with what seems to be the more popular of the choices, Black Mage. Pencil drawing, don't know how much time I'll have to finish him up properly, but I really wanted to start getting back into weekly practice of some kind and my people need more work than anything else.

In my mind, the mage's face was always a physical object that made it black or dark. Either he was some sort of creature with jet black light absorbing skin, or he was wearing some kind of magical mask.
