Marleentje!
Ah new stuff! I always love the weirdness in your work
You can see you're searching in your drawings and doodles, it reminds me of my time at the Academy (haha, sounds like it's been ages ago) when the teachers gave us the most impossible assignments to work out...
I'm looking forward to drawing with you tomorrow! Haven't seen you in a while
Liefs!
Marlisa
Edit: Also, if you find the time for it when you are less busy than you are now; I would LOVE to see something conceptual from your mind, like an oil painting or something. Something that has nothing to do with schoolassignments at all.
You are so good at the weird slightly creepy concepts!

These are two things from illustration, that I'm happy about. They're pretty much final illustrations. They're a portrait for a magazine, of a person we had to make up, this is the first, a prima ballerina.

More to come, I just wanted to show this.

Nice style. I especially like the simplicity of that living room sketch in your most recent post. It reminds me of an artist I recall reading about and who...um...whose name I cannot remember for the life of me. Hmm...
Anyway, good work.
me likes the linework in post 31.. in that portrait and hand.. would love to see more of those.
groeten Rob.
@ PeregrinTerk; Hi! Thank you, and if you remember the name I'd love to hear it hihi :-)
@ oma; Heya! I'm happy with those too, I realized that I really like lines, so more will come
Update;
the recent sketches, this is all school stuff.

@ CrazedIvan; thanks!
@ [b]LAL[/b[; yeah I try to keep the workplace inspirational, put sketches on the wall that I like, to remind myself to do something with them

@ Marlisa; thank youuu!I really like it too, the one thing I'm a little sorry for is that I didn't change the eyes in the beginning, I saw quite early that it wasn't correct but decided not to change them, now it's not a possibility because everything is painted very thin. Anyway, it's really big, and looking better in real life
.
update!; This is all stuff for illustration.

Hello there Noe,.
Your linework is solid - hope to see some concepts in the futureBut I'm aware that that's not everyone's cup o' tea.
One critique from me though - your paintings need some work (You're not alone there, so does mine). The colours seem to be stuck in mono/mid-tone. Perhaps try pushing the values? But then again, I'm no authority on the subject of acrylics (I use oil, and don't do that much traditional painting in anycase), much less painting in general. So you can take it with a grain of salt.
Other than that, keep trucking.

Believe my lies, for I tell the truth about them. Or would you rather me lie about telling the truth?

i liked the other one more tbh.
dunno.. but that blue above the dude appeals to me for some reason.
tho i would like to see not a straight line in the middle next to that person. that doesn't seem to fit in with the rest of the lines from the picture.. and seems to distract me somehow.
other then that.. i like the way u going.. keep it comin.
hey marleen! how are things? you have so much lovely drawings in here. Im very fond of your drawings in post 41, actually all of them. That big painting of your face on the side, beautifully done. and i really like the drawings where you mix a drawing with words, like the girl with curly hair and the balloons with 'luchtigheid'. the drugdealer in your recent post (i assume he is because all pills on the ground) is one of my favorites, just freaking awesome.
tot volgende week!
Hey there, I was planning an update but this attachment manager really fucked things up, so after half an hour of trying I gave up.
I'm thinking about starting a blog and finally finishing my website, the attachment manager is not my cup of tea, and I haven't really browsed these forums for the past year or so, CA seems to have lost most of it's original magic for me. When start blogging I'll post the link here ofcourse.
For now, here's a public link to my facebook art album.
