    Crahzz's sketchbook V3 - Daily Updates

    Hey Folks,

time to start another sketchbook thread! As I'm almost done with my graduation project for concept art I'd figured this would be a good time to share some of the drawings made in the process. Hope you'll enjoy it and C&C's are always welcome =D

Breathtaking work here! I love the color. There seems to be a sense of motion in your most still work. Thanks for stopping by my SB.

    Heya Crahzz,

Awesome paints man. This year I'm starting out at IGAD to become a concept artist as well, knowing that it's not at all aimed for that it's hopefull to see that you have managed as well. You've got great texture and mood to your work really stunning work man. As for advice I'd say you could play a bit more with edges. I'd say some neat airbrushed edges can add more contrast to your edge variety.

Cheers mate, I'll experiment a bit more with edges, see if I can get any interesting results. About the IGAD course, good luck =D I'll be at the afterparty friday at Jan's place, you'll get to know him if you are at camp lost, we can chat a bit then.. IGAD is not a friendly place for concept artists

    @BenjaminL
Any time mate, I'll be sure to drop by more often.

    Sup Buds !

Lovely to see you start a sketchbook here, just stumbled on it by accident
Seriously, your work looks sooooooooo much better on CA, it's weird I know but the paintings really live up to their standards, I think it's maybe because of the resize on DA.

Great work so far though, the environments are impressive

    Looking forward to more

Here is another WIP for a massive canvas I am working on now, again based on one of the Canto's in "The Divine Comedy" - the Book: Inferno.

Didn't think I was going to post anything anymore today but I've managed to revamp another painting, meaning, tossing it away and starting from scratch. Here are some WIP shots for today

Great works and I am seriously surprised at how much more enjoyable it is to view it on here, resize = baaaaaaaad. Much nicer quality this way
Oi.. it's not all bad... Besides I got my stuff up to full res on DA now anyway.. not that the green background helps but still. And yeah, CA vibe is a bit better this time around

since I'm pretty busy with my graduation work, which is more WIP than actual new stuff (because Im working on em for about 10 hrs every day) I'll just post some "older" stuff (up to like 2 months ago)

This one is a bit rough, still a sketch and all, quite happy with the textures but it was made before my new brush pack so it looks quite different from some of the newer enviro's - Guess it's more of a color study because of that.

Awesome stuff, like the colors and the texture! But, sometimes they are a bit busy to the eye because of the all the textured brushwork. That is my only concern. Keep it up!

Very, very nice work. Thanks for the comment in my sketchbook.
Yep, I should use the different pencils I have more, but I always forget to switch. I just continue drawing with what I have. Will try do it more.
And I will do more studies of my house (or when I'm sitting in the metro or classroom for example).
    Dank je voor je advies!
