Your studies are really starting to pay off! I love how expressive your characters are! I am really impressed with the variety of media you employ, keep going, your work is really lovely (:
- Ink drawings of caves copied from photos.
- inked still lives of denim and cotton jersey.
- a couple from imagination
- inked children's faces from photo
- a face from life
- gestures from observation
- and a WWI British Aircraft gun and random tank. Call of Duty![]()
Done in Photoshop. Landscapes and painting baffle and infuriate me. Which means I should do it more. =(
A second hilarious attempt at landscape painting. I can't get the texture right.
Some stuff I've drawn recently. Still pegging away at backgrounds.
I used life drawing for the 1st instead of guessing again. Everything else is from a photo.
Awesome sketchbook! Your linework has really come a long ways since the first page. Keep up the hard work

Heh, we share the same first name.
But yes, anyways, great sketchbook! Try using different custom brushes to create the texture you're looking for. It helps a lot. c:
More stuff from the past week done in Faber-Castell.

-a blanket and chair from life in color pencil.
-faces, the one of the guy is from life.
-drawings from life and composites photo references. It's a WIP for an illustration.
- And people from life when I went to Starbucks. At times it got slow so I drew from imagination but most of it is customers. In graphite and ink.
I work a lot lately but I try to shove drawing in. Most of this is drawn on break from Google images and imagination.
Wow time flies. My flow of posting has been interrupted. Not to worry, I have been drawing these past few months. Random drawings plus a self portrait, some landscape value and color studies, from reference and life respectively. I'm still hunkering down and working on those landscapes.
Update

Some drawing I've done in the past months. The table and cat are from life. The 2nd and 3rd are from photo. I've started doing studies from the Jack Hamm Drawing Landscapes book. The last 2 are composition studies.

Hi Nicole, I did a quick paintover on your last illustration of the week entry, great idea, I love the traditional medium and composition. (I hope you don't mind or anything)
I really like your dedication and approach to art. My favourite post is the reclining woman from the 30minute pixelovely study on post 83. It's unusual to see someone working in coloured pencils, keep this up as it's definitely a good thing. If you're struggling with the environment studies (I know how you feel) you might want to look at Fengzhu design cinema youtube channel, he has some great explanations and process when tackling landscapes. Good luck, keep studying and keep posting.
great effort you've put in.
keep it up
