oh wow you really pushed it on that last one and ended it with a bang, indeed coming full circle.
Gotta love that

mhashem - No, thank you!
Pavel Sokov - Thanks! I really enjoyed your comment!
Blue Severin - Thanks man! How are your studies going?
lancer_idenoure - Wow thank you! Actually these paintings were done from my photo-reference... Depends on which ones you're talking about and what size... The shortest took a few days (to allow drying) and the latest one took a few months, off and on...
Absolutely gorgeous work. How long have you been exploring the flower motif, may I ask?
Your oils are absolutely stunning, mate.
Sketchbook, with apes, insects and fallen cities.
Sketchlog, more or less a portfolio.

These are so great, makes me want to break out the oils.
Latest paintings are looking beautiful man, especially the last one. Nice to see you're continuing with the flower pieces.
This is just so beautiful. Totally gorgeous work. Congratualtions!

unbelievable... Best of luck with the show! - I wish I could be there.
Awesome paintings, man!
Hey Main Loop, I am happy to see the update of the 4 new paintings, and I am excited for you and your show tonight! I hope it goes well.

For your new pieces:
I really enjoy the extra definition and sharpness the last 2 pieces have. The vibrancy in colour of the last one is bold, and a nice touch!
Great work. I just wish you had more models at your disposal since I am noticing the same one throughout, but you already were extremely skilled in getting girls you know to pose for you, so I guess I can't ask for more. I mention this because I am guessing getting your friends to pose nude for you is an art in and of itself. It must be a verbal challenge to make them comfortable.
So with that said, it seems that your personalibility and your art skills are both top notch!
Can't wait to see what you come up with in your next series. Good luck with the show tonight!

wow gorgeous work truley inspiring makes me want to do some figure drawing thank you
Hi Pavel,
Thanks a bunch! On the subject of the model:
This whole series is based on the interaction between her as an individual and how I see her. If it were anyone else, the paintings would be completely different. I thought I was done with the series after "Bourgeon De Rose" but I dug in and was able to extract a few more pieces from the series.
I am very particular about who I choose to work with. First and foremost, the person has to be enthusiastic about working with me. That usually means they are familiar with my work and want to be part of what I plan on creating with them. I get to know the person before I decide on what I want to use them for, and for the most part it's something based on their unique characteristics. So by the time it gets to the posing, there's no "talking them into it." If they're not comfortable, I'm not working with them.
I think I'm a pretty nice guy!
Ok everyone, since people seem to like "Chromatella" so much, I decided to enter it in this month's Boldbrush competition. So please do me the favor of Liking it on the FASO website here, share it, etc. It would really be helping me out!
