Can't believe nobody has commented on these yet...pld:...awesomeness dude! Your use of color is real good, especially in that last pic, but the pencils are definately my favorites. So many great textures and hatching, values, lights and darks... just really nice work here. Please keep posting. Welcome to CA.

Great gobblets of giblet gravy! I just keep coming back to this thread. Everytime I do, I notice new little details and dilectible nuggets of artistic joy. I'm jealous to the extreme of your totally pro pencil skills. So much mood and great storytelling in these works. I must ask...what do you do for a living? You should DEFINATELY be working somewhere in illustration, maybe for games and movies. I should have done this the 1st time I visited...have some stars, my friend. You must keep posting, I'm totally hooked on this thread.

    Hi!
Its been very long since i last posted anything...late summer. Well better late than never. Here is some of the stuff i have done since then.

Piranha Clan: Im happy that you dig my pictures...its always nice to hear when you are struggeling with keeping yourself motivated. You asked...what i did for a living.
At the momet im studying 3d graphics in stockholm. This summer i worked s a 2d artist at a small game company(paradox interactive). Making small illustrative pics for a historic 2d game. I am soon starting my internship at a bigger Game studio here in stockholm, Avalanche studios. I still dont know what kind of work i will do there but i hope its not just making coffe, because i suck at that.

some of the better pics from this fall.

Wonderful classy work, Jonas. I like the pencil pieces very much, and your 3D work is coming along beautifully, too. Love the rotate clip of the troll on your website. That guy is in need of some serious dentistry. Excellent earring design, too.

Five stars for you, my boy! : )

    Keep up the excellent work.

    Thanks for the complements!
I haven't been drawing much lately, apart from some figure studies that i do on Mondays. Its always a huge struggle.
But here is some of the ones i have done, and some self portraits in different styles, i think its good for learning.

Motives: Thanks, I guess i tend to draw in a painting kind of way, concentrating on the ligt more then describing form with lines , at least when i do larger pictures for illustration. Its good for creating moods, but its much harder to keep the paintings artistic and crisp, it tends to get a bit dull if it gets to smudged, and you cant se the direction of the lines.. And yea the pictures at the top is in the swedish version of DoD, they are a bit old now. The book came out 2007 "Vastermark". The one further down the page inside the skeleton frame is in the book "Likstorm".

A friend of mine wanted an oldscool Bankmans portrait, so i made one for him. I think he sat two or three times in my 15 m2 studio (and apartment).
It was a while since i did anything in oils, its always a big struggle.

Here is a photo of a painting i did for a church this spring. its supposed to be the paradise. The painting is about 3,5*1,5m. The sketch for it can be seen earlier on this thread. The second picture is me on the opening, forced to talk about the picture . Im sorry for the super crappy photos.
