Bros & Dudes- thank you for your support.
I have started to take more notes and write more in my sketchbook, which so far I am enjoying.
rendered this doodle trying to get the form with simple modelling.
a couple of little extra bits, an idea for character to put on a pulp novel cover and a quick sketch of a pith helmet for tf2.

Hey thank you mate for the tip about the texture, it works great!
Nice update but I think the pig looks like Porco Rosso main character.
Mainly becouse they are both pigs and have similar clothes, I think you'd be fine whit just a minor change.
Anyway I like it
ciao ciao!

Thank you everyone.
To test the ideas about painting I've had peculating for the past 2 and half months, specificity ideas about method.
I have had a lot of trouble in the past with getting from point a to b, working too much on the surface and not building from major to minor.
anyway I decided to do some studies with this in mind.
first two are three to four hours monkey was more like eight.
and also this

Nice work!

well adam. there's definite improvements in those latest digital studies comparing to your first post! that is quite awesome :3 regarding the method of approaching a piece in terms of rendering-- i don't think there's really a 'correct' way but certainly there are general rules... one of the obvious of going 'general to specific' but i think you handled these pieces quite well.
keep exploring different approaches and you'll find one most suitable to your work style. i'm still exploring myself-- heck, the pros are always experimenting too![]()

these are a couple hours each.
next week more drawing! more painting!
Good Work!!

nice work man! thought id stop by and check out what youve been doingyouve got a great style and i really like your line quality. for your paintings, youre getting a good sense of the forms but theyre still kinda flat. dont be afraid to push your value range on those. keep at it!

ah nice the FOXY SQUAD is complete. Looks l33t as! well done. Sooo cool, your going to make a fun illustrator one day. And those paints are really good, like the 2 chicks are a bit washed out, but i can see the really well interpreted lighting. nice!

dudes & bros thank you for your wise words and praise.
it has been a ponderous week, so there's not a lot to show.
earlier in the week I changed up the drawing for this to be less flat, and yesterday changed up the rendering style from wishy washy to something more shape orientated.
a couple of weird drawings
I have been thinking about how to give my drawing a kick in the arse.
and have settled on anatomy studies.
top half is bammes studies bottom half is from ref and ideally a third lot from imagination will follow
