Intuos 4M: To go Wireless, or not?

It's coming around to that time again and I think I've finally given up using the Intuos 2's I rent from my school. I partially want to blame my laptop and the drivers but that's a different topic. I'm looking to invest in an Intuos 4, Medium size because I find it convenient, bundled with the latest Painter. I realized that it also came in a wireless model via Bluetooth and with just an extra 50 bucks I can grab a bundle.

The reason I'd like the wireless is because I like having a clean workspace, whereas whenever I had a tablet at hand, it had such an ungodly long cord I didn't know how to manage with it under such short time. I'd like to know which type you guys recommend. Horror stories highly appreciated, thanks.

Get the wireless I have had mine 2 weeks I do not know if I could ever use a Wired wacom the same way again. I can now sit back and relax while I draw especially when I turn on mirroring and put it on my LCD tv. Before you even ask No I have not experienced any lag with the blue tooth connection, smooth as butter. Give it 4 out of 5 with a buy recommendation 4 only because there have been a few time I had to run the discover blue tooth device when I restarted my laptop.

    Hope this helps.

As appealing as the wireless Intuos4 is, I'd pass on it.

Mostly because I have the Graphire Wireless and I hate the damn thing.

The Graphire Wireless I found...while not having a lag per say, it is still slower then a corded tablet. At first I was okay with it, but then I tried a Bamboo tablet and I just couldn't go back. It won't really effect your work load, but if you use both tablets at the same time, you'll see/feel the difference.

Also had alot of battery problems with it. If I had to step away from the computer and it went to sleep, after waking it up I wouldn't be able to get the Graphire to work anymore. I would have to remove the battery and put it back in to make it work. It also sporadically held a charge. Sometimes it did and sometimes it didn't.

Its possible that maybe it was just my battery was defective...but I read some reviews from people who had similar issues.

Hopefully they fixed those issues for the wireless Intuos4. One thing I do like however is that its USB charged instead of requiring an AC. This is good because technically you can use as a regular intuos 4 since it can be corded to your computer, and then you can go wireless when needed.
