these will be my sketches. most will be from a project i'm working on called MASCHINELL, post-post-apoc sorts of things, where nature overruns the machine. also a giant bucket of commission and freelance work.

from awhile ago:
in reference to some comments about anatomical inconsistencies i have, i thought i'd share something super personal. well. maybe not supremely personal since i'm really, really outspoken about it. i began suffering from anorexia nervosa(purging type) in late 2005. before i fell ill, i was plugging along like a little art student engine-- and though my style was shitty anime goreporn and i still had a strange idea of ideal anatomy (i suppose i was groomed for the disease or something), i seemed to have some grasp of anatomy and basic proportion. [ SEE EXAMPLE ] when i was in full swing though, something happened to the way i saw things i suppose and the only thing i apparently cared about were collarbones, hipbones, and ribcages. my figures became paper thin, narrow, and lifeless-- and that's on the rare chance that i actually had the energy to do anything. [ SEE EXAMPLE ] this lasted for about 4 years before i found the strength to put it away myself, thanks to insurance companies only accepting DSMV standards of diagnoses (for anorexia, it's having an 18 bmi and losing menstruation for 3 months, i believe-- where i lost probably around 120 pounds in about 9 or 10 months and no doctor saw anything wrong with that). i'm not really sick anymore (recovered is a loaded term. you don't get rid of anorexia-- it's always there waiting for you), but it is still a struggle to see things properly sometimes. i think that i've come a long way from my afflicted work [ SEE POST'S UPLOAD OR THE REST OF THE SKETCHBOOK :F ] but i still struggle with the consistency of my figures (though it's not nearly as bad as it was in the past). as such, i have a tendency to RIDICULOUSLY elongate my figures to the point of hilarity, to focus more on bone structure than muscle structure, to over render ribcages on people who aren't stretching, to put hip bone lines on people who probably shouldn't have them, and to alter my figures silhouettes to streamlined things that shave off pieces of their anatomy. IF YOU SEE THIS HAPPEN, DO NOT GIVE ME ASSPATS. I HUMBLY REQUEST THAT YOU PUT THE FEAR OF GOD IN ME.
also, for the record, it makes me really, really, really mad when people call my figures anorexic or use my art (especially from that period of my life)as thinspiration (or tell me that i'm glorifying the disease and encouraging other). for starts, not all anorexics are skinny and for twofers, i was fucking suffering, you dumb wannarexics. thank you for reading that. 8D
feel free to ask me any questions.
ALSO the sketchbook icon is one i made from the taiji PV by atsushi sakurai. my forum avatar is also acchan, from the romance pv by buck tick. >>
