worked some more on the green ninja dude and did a sketch up for a painting i will be working on.

finished Mr green ninja finaly took a while :o working on 2 imagination pieces too, applying those studies. I will post those later.

the boat my sister is gonna sail on for a few months
so decided to do a piece for her and do a study at the same time.

so i used the reference for the design of the boat but i put it in a different angle so im not coping a photo but trying to understand it.

Boat looks sweet, I think it could've used some highlights/points of interest on the boat itself tho, right now my eye kinda goes around the boat instead of over the boat. The clouds look beautiful tho.

so you are self-taught? that is very impressive.
I love the way your digital paintings look, I dig everything that looks more traditional than digital- ever tried traditional? Maybe you should take a course or single class about the industry focus you wish to become professional in, I think you need quite a lot of direction at this point in order to improve specifically where you most benefit from it.
if that makes any sense, lol.

@LordLouis: im 90% self tought im doing a bachelor atm but they dont teach me anyhting they just give me prompts to work from but no classes in fundamentals.

i would have quit school 2 years ago if i wasnt stuck in the system here in the netherlands...

Your recent stuff is looking really great. I'm not a huge fan of the latest thing, as the colors don't seem all that exciting (although the creature idea is cool) but that reflective pot in the opening post and that painting of the ship are really awesome. Your faces also look really good, I'm particularly partial to the guy with the large nose on the first page.
Your gestures are also really smooth, though you might try showing some of the interior details such as muscles as practice.

I have to say the painting in post #93, 'flip' is my favourite environment, even though it's simple. The atmosphere very vivid

i arrived in japan a week ago and have been setteling down a little, exploring the neighbourhood and stuff i started working on my traditional work again

so here some copic marker work with pencil touch up

that last illustration of the giantbirdmanthingy looks really good, nice use of atmosphere. I think you could really push the depth even more by applying strong and clear colors in the parts of the figure that is closest to us. Really pushing the contrast between the distant wing and the front wing.
