Beautiful, as always, Patrick. I'm envious of your multi medium talents Out of curiousity, do you prefer digital over trad; trad over digital, or do you look at them the same way? Glad to hear Illuxcon went well.

Beautiful work Patrick. I remember when I was a kid and I bought Fantasy art Techniques by Boris Vallejo I just couldn't imagine being as good as him. I tried to paint a few duds, but never to his level. Although you have your style and composition insight, the Vallejo influence is strong and really, really, complimentary. I'm in awe of your skills sir. Take care.

Beautiful as always, Patrick. It blows my mind how you're able to get such great detail in there and maintain a soft-edged look. I feel like that's really what helps make your digital work almost indistinguishable from your traditional oils. I think I'll have to study your digital painting book a few more times....

Very nicely the colours in blue-green and red-brown
as well as the highlights! If I am allowed to do three things
do respond? The neck outline is of the Girl is
too hard in comparison to the general view. The breast
in the shade looks flattened? (Darker contour drawing?)
    The shadow-volume/mass of Conans forearm
    greater?
But in the overall impression a top work, Patrick!!
    (Excuse my bad English)

Patrick Jones, this thread is beastly! Gotta love how you have your very own unmistakeble style.

I also enjoyed your words on using reference.

The recent piece with the Satyr holding up the women is brilliant. Makes me wish I could paint traditionally.

Luscious color! That's the first thing I think when I see one of Patrick's paintings. Then my eyes roam around and see the silky skin of the characters, the intricate design work of their ornamentation...

I expect to be impressed by every piece that comes out of the hands of Patrick. His control of the paint and brushes is truly amazing. His technique is impeccable...
