Wow your facial studies keep getting better and better. Your use of color brings the portraits to life.

Your colour choices for your portraits are improving tremendously! Good idea of using pixellation for colour refs!

teapo- haha nah man got a long way to go, cmon I need you to start doing heads to push me more!
Nerferinn- Thankyou! i think the master studies are helping alot with that i'd reccomend them to everyone
figure8Atej-Thanks
Todays stuff, not the best quality especially with the sp concentrate too much on trying to get the features right rather than colour, gotta balance dat shit.
e3's over though so less distractions more studies.
Gonna start some still lives and fooorce myself to get some doodles done just set aside time to do FUN things getting worried i wont be able to create anything!
![]()
Good work on that still life painting, nicely rendered
On some of your faces the recurring mistake seems to be that they are very narrow heads, making the features look a little too big within them. If you give them a wider jaw/chin area it might fix it. Maybe play around with exaggerating some of their features like noses, eyes etc, if you're drawing fantasy you might as well go all out
Apart from that there's some really good ones in there. I like number 3 & 5 on page 1 and 3 & 14,15 on page 2. Keep it up!
Hey man nice updates, look like your moving on a lot with your anatomy! Those last heads are looking good, keep it up!![]()
Mincx- Thanks for the advice tried to do some variants n stuff in my doodles and i saw what ya mean
Glaudarien- Thanks man will try thanks for stopping by
So looks like i ruined my constant stream of posts, that sucks, moving soon though heres some repetative studies (thanks to the Danger Room) 10 from ref 10 from mind aaaand some doodles.
gonna carry on with the SP till im happy with it
Gonna try the artorder challenge and do a Grimm Tale gonna do Bearskin, just do a devil and a tramp in a pimp suit.. two of my favourite things in the world.
but until then... more doodles and a stale study gonna stop it now
gotta get better!
studies are looking sharp fudgeok i will do more heads too!

Teapo-Thaaanks man lets do it biatch! your gonna kick my ass
More torso's not getting those serratus (i think thats right) down yet and an MMA study seemed fitting along with some doodles.
Daaamn getting p p pumped to do some personal digital stuff from these sketches
Anatomy studies are looking good! I think you should work on your values a little bit- your color stuff seems to be hurting because of your values- remember color is just frosting on the cake-
if i may suggest something-
sometimes its helpful to add an adjustment layer(set it to desaturate the image) on top of your painting and the ref image- you can turn the adjustment layers on and off and and view it your painting and ref in grey-scale- its way easier to spot problems this way!
Hope it helps!
keep it up!

damn! keep up the good work! Im amazed you repeated some of the same images to commit them to memory! That's good, it's definitely going to pay off in the long run! Try to draw some still lifes and focus on studying the lighting and accurately rendering it with pencil or paint. Other than that, just keep drawing man!

Good stuff on repeating your work, and it's all pretty consistent too. You'll have it down in no time if you keep up your pace.

Notdeadman- Thanks for the advice im dying to try some traditional painting
MatthewHD- cheers!
Hellooo there, long ass value study and a start to the brothers grimm thing. the idea is getting there.. now to learn how to paint it.
tried a few of Hannes little techniques like the HSB slider and ref on the same canvas for these, it works!
no scans, printer is all packed up gotta move soon.
The last in this months studies, back home now no excuses gotta do more next month!
All studies are from the "monsters" movie great film with longer studying time as you go down the pieces.

you're good man![]()
Lot of studies and practice ! You already rocksKeep on doin' this !
Rano- Hey thanks man
So this post is just for the golden boy competition. sorry for a pea roast
A whooole month of studies.
gotta push myself more more more
So todays first studies, more quality than quantity hopefully. 5 hours of study 2-3 hours of my bearskin thing

stufffffff. Some repetition studies (10 reffed 8 imagination) and then stuff crapped out of my head, trying to retain previous studies.
more soon. determined to finish a piece argh!
Great to see you working hard. Anatomy stuff looks good, especially the mouths in #260. Still I think you should push those photo studies more. Really stare hard at the shapes, edges, value, then put a mark down, compare and correct. Really push some of the studies as far as you can. The issues are always due to not observing hard enough. I'm trying to tackle this myself by doing more pencil and watercolor stuff that is more unforgiving on mistakes than digital.
Keep it up, man. You're doing well.![]()
Mincx- I spent too long staring at it
Isso- Thanks man yeah this month is gonna be lots of long photostudies i think, thanks for the crit gonna make sure i take my time on the next one
Todays stuff, pure digital i ran out of pages! but it feels like i got used to drawing in PS more.
2 sets of repetition studies and a shitty goblin guy idea.
Anyone know any good cheap sites for art supplies?
More tomorrow!
great amount of studies man. Your digital work seems to be a bit to blurry most of the times, try to use a harder one, basic round in ps for example. Keep up the hard work.
Fetsch- Hey thanks man, yeah i know what ya mean my digital stuff is sucking hard trying to use the soft brush to blend but i dunno maybe its too early in the painting? it just undo's a lot of my edges and i have no idea how to use it haha.
Todays stuff, Anatomy repetition more from the naked chick and me struggling to not paint shrek.
