Hey well im finally back from my parents house so lets get some more drawing done! Following on from everyones advice i've decided to do figures all this week from studies, photos and my imagination. I've also been using a Coloursoft pencil its really helping with my confidence and smooth lines and you cant rub the bugger out so thats always good too.

Thanks visiting my SB. Nice pencil and digital studies, keep it up! Perhaps one idea: try to increase the contrast, blacks should be black. Also if you make cast shadows darker things will pop out more.

There is nothing like pushing your self ... set a (what seems like) unobtainable goal and give it all you got ... to do the basics while your at it is always prudent ... hehehe

@ Shambok cheers for the advice mate, I just saw the new CHOW thread and seen as though its a bony demon guy it seems like a good target and exercise.

Today was all over the place! which I found out is bad, too much time made me spread my studies too thin rather than concentrating on one particular subject, BAH!

So heres the best ones anyway.

After doing some sphere/line exercises i decided to do some of Loomis' head studies, these unfortunately is what i could come up with

Hey mate thanks for checking out my SB again. Loads of updates here which is good to see! Those perspective studies are awesome, i think that is your strongest area at the moment. As for the anatomy studies i'd say slow down, and really focus on the form, shape and proportion of everything. Get each study spot on as much as you can and then focus on speed later. Goodluck! I'l check back later

Hey since the whole CHOW thing was a bust I realised i needed to set myself a new challenge, I've recently been watching the Crimson Daggers and heard about the 100 studies, so here goes my 100 arms in a week, I'll be using Bridgman and some bodybuilding books for exaggerated muscles so i know where they actually go.

Loathsome- cheers mate! althought the skulls were just studies that i tried to memorise, always to good to here feedback though
Mincx- Tar! get some stuff on here NAO!

more arms today, I realise now that doing arms on there own may seem like a cop out to doing the entire figure, so thats why im doing figure next! atleast then i can apply my knowledge of arms to the entire thing.

these arms were taken from Hogarth's dynamic anatomy and "anatomy for the artist" as well as few ref photos i have backed up. I got a Da vinci and Michelangelo book today for £7 so expect to see a few studies thrown in with the last 20 woo!

Thanks for visiting my SB, with these creatures I started with big shapes, but I knew what everything is going to be, arm or something, I started with silhouette because it is very important. I discovered that technique for myself pretty recently, when I opened a very, VERY wide document in PS and started improvising creatures, I recommend you to do the same, do a lot of creatures, or whatever, robots, ships, after one another, and soon you'll find the technique that suites you the best.
I really think you could use some hardcore anatomy studies, I mean where muscles attach and stuff, also I think it's good not to over study, copy some anatomy stuff or whatever, and then draw the same without reference, in that way you'll remember the information better. At least it helped for me.
For studying light and shadow,I recommend copying B&W airplanes, vehicles, spaceships from ski-fi movies,....
    Keep up the hard work.

@ Heix, thanks for the advice man yeah my anatomy skills are lacking still, i've started to study bridgman and then try to do it from memory and it seems to be working (i keep drawing a lot more angular muscles now damn him!) but il get right on the hardcore stuff right away, not totally sure where to look for some good refs though.

well this is todays studies and a mess around in photoshop just trying to be persistant with working how to use it. my line work sucks even more digitally so if anything im hoping to improve it with these contour drawings.

MOAR lifedrawing, we had to draw emotions and then a 3 piece narative turned out to be fun fun fun. Also relaxed with some perspective stuff at the end of the day, need to get a futuristic city sorted out bah
