The Flying Dutchman: Hey thanks for taking your time and comment on here in my SB, yeah I feel a little disconnected with my art, can't seem to draw. I hear what you're saying about shapes and thanks for the book suggestion, i will definitely check it out and study it and hopefully I'll start drawing more.

Here is just some drawing I started today, it was a slow day at work today and so I had the time. its so-so.

hi,
maybe while working with gray scale, try diversify hues more

add some focal and so on, avoid uniformity

i don't know if you have something in common with this book, if not get it

Takashmen: Your right, I don't normally worry about the background or the focal point, I have only been concentrating on characters and creatures. Thanks for your critique and thanks for the book reference, I need to study more art overall.

At work again, public speaking sure takes it out of me, anyways here is some bug mech, got inspired while I watched Feng Zhu's new tut. Kinda sucks but its something.

On a note the perspective ones are patio concepts for my brother and his job.

I think you need to take more care of your edges, ie. hard vs soft. Maybe try the freehand lasso tool.
Also, white backgrounds tend to suck on anything but drawings.

Its been a long time since I posted anything, though I haven't given up on art. Just finished my semester and now I have more time to post my sketchbook. I'll post some of my art class projects later. But for now, Here we go....

Yes more posts, havent been here in a while! Great to see your improvment!! I really dig the art projects you did! Very creative! Nice painting up there!! Feng Zhu is the man, if only i could go to his school hahah!
