@Black Spot- Yeah you are right . I am still new to the 3d rendering and even color theory as a whole. I will implement that next time. Thanks

@LtPlissken- Thanks man . Yeah it does need more contrast. I can see a lot of mistake in them already. I shall improve!

Just some paintover variations for different types of infection.

Nice work, Zubin. Not much to say except that the hastily worked shirts/jacket looks out of place on that rendered 3D model right now. If you have time, do render them a bit.

Also, your 3D work looks mighty fine. It perfectly illustrates the improvement you've been experiencing recently.

Carry on with the great work.

@LtPlissken- Yes very happy indeed . But this next update killed me :| cause i had to paint infection on a pretty girl. This was depressing =.=

Quite big hands for a woman, don't you think?
But anyways I'm your fan, especially I love your pencil and pen sketches - really nice style and many interesting ideas of characters and creatures out there!
It's great that you have some project going on with your friends, good luck with it!

@Ninsei- Yeah man i did intentionally elongate in the alst two stages but even the normal girl has long hands. =.= I went overboard with stylisation i guess. THanks for drropping by!

Here is a photostudy. Dint really get the exact forms of the girl but it kind of looks like her. Damnit achieving similarity is really tough . Have to keep pushing it i guess. Also i tried coloring for the first time digitally so it became a little cartoony, although photorealism was not my intention. I tried crosshatching with colors rather than blending them. It was fun

Woah- love the zombie transitions. It's nice seeing people put some thought into how they develop those crazy kinds.
Anyways, really like your portrait studies too, they're really coming along.
Not much to say crit wise, really. Just keep up the good work.

    Infected female; a bit of a nitpicking about her design;
her default face and look strongly implies that she's a hard
core alcoholic, cause of her bright red nose. If you saw some
of those old colored caricatures in some newspapers, you surely
saw that the drunk lads were presented with a very red nose,
which indicated that they are strong drinkers. I think that is definitely
not the thing that you were aiming with this beauty. The second
thing is her very very very saturated blue shirt, which is killing a
bit the whole influence. So generally looks like you got some problem
with over-saturating colors. Third things, I would like her to have
some huge breasts and a huge va-gina. On the other hand, forget
what I said under number three.
The portrait that you colored is looking nice, like the style and her
face definitely reminds me on the actress Milla Jovovich. Is that
    really her?
Good stuff mate, good stuff, you made us proud.

    @rumpenstiltzkin- Thanks

@naidy-thanks a lot for the kind words

@LtPlissken- Haha i have this thing for red noses so i tend to do that. Its a bad habit that i have to get rid of =.= . I am new to coloring stuff, and kind of suck at color theory, i usually tend to go for striking colors or generally whatever looks good to me. I tend to over do the coloring i think. I ll keep that in mind. Thanks man.

This is a turtle i sculpted and textured for a project which never saw the light of the day. But i did learn quite a bit about texturing and detailing from this.

That photo study came out well. I scribble instead of cross hatching because I'm messy, but you got a really nice feel to it. Turtle is awesome too.

That turtle is pretty boss. Looks a bit plasticky, but that may be down to the render or lighting or something? I know basically nothing about 3D. D:

The photostudy girl is really interesting. If I'm understanding correctly, this was pencil and you coloured it from there? I'm assuming so, because the background is really not working; it has that grainy webcam look to it, and kind of takes away from how nice the girl herself looks. (If it was an intentional style thing, I still don't think it works.)

The colours on the girl aren't particularly realistic, as you've said, but they are very nice - as a stylized colour pallet, it's got a lot going for it. Might even try pushing it further, into something with more kick - it's got a bit of a washed out look. That said, the drawing itself is gorgeous. =)

    Epic turtle!
Your abilities to render and do 3D is on an envious level.
How did you manage to do this?

    @Black Spot- Thank you!

@Revidescent-Yeah i am still learning the rendering part in 3D . And evrything else too =.=
I actually made the portrait digitally. I just used a overall noise filter which gives it that look. I should have kept it more subtle i guess. Thanks a lot!

@LtPlissken- Haha I am fairly new to 3d but using zbrush is very intuitive. Once you learn the basics, it becomes very user friendly and it is awesome. You should give it a go man.

This is a concept for the berserker for my project. Wanted to stray from the usual zombie look and try different style. Cant wait to sculpt and texture it. XD

@LtPlissken- Yup he is the inspiration

Here are some progress on the berserker bust sculpt. I started out with a fat bulky guy in mind but kinda toned down thinking it should be built and mean looking. It does not look mean or scary yet for some reason. I hope adding details and mutation will change that.

Hey, your work is really coming along well. Love the turtle render; it might look 'plasticky' close up, but on a video game screen, that very sheen makes the graphics pop. So, yeah, fantastic job.

Also, your female portraits are brilliant. You really manage to capture subtleties of expression well, something that I personally struggle with.

As for bringing the anger to the last image, try pushing up the nose a little, don't show so much of the upper eyelid, and bring the eyes slightly closer and higher. I think that should do the trick.

They say an image speaks louder than words. So I thought I'd try it out - a paint over and a comparison.

@Vritra- Thanks a lot for that. You made it look epic. I got really pumped up after seeing that. No way i would want you to remove it man. I actually got inspired to finish the sculpt .

Prepare for a huge dump XD.

Well I had not sketched for a while and my sketching was getting really bad so i thought i had to start all over again. So here are some studies , some stuff from head.

I never tried much mechanical stuff so i thought i ll give it a shot so i also tried a female battlesuit and also a quick doodle for a big mech.

Forgive the crappy quality of the sketches but i am gonna improve fast!

Hey man, glad you found the paint-over useful. Do share the finished sculpt, I'd love to see what you did with it.

I like the big dump a lot, lots of sketchbook pages, which is always good to see. I don't have any specific crits at this point. If you need any specific crit, just put it up there with the post. Usually there are a lot of people on the forum who like to crit, especially when invited (although it isn't always a good thing).

Well, keep updating. It's a pleasure dropping by, every time.
