Teen Challenge 89 :: Mixing Elements

    Round 89 :: Mixing Elements

    Topic
Something different. Mix any two elements of your choice to come up with something unique and original. Whichever elements you like, the point is the end result is a new creation. Whether that creation is a character, a creature, an environment or a storm the choice is yours. A mini challenge in it is coming up with a name for your creation by mixing the names or features of the two elements creatively.

P.S THE WINNER OF THIS TEEN CHALLENGE WILL PICK THE TOPIC FOR THE NEXT TEEN CHALLENGE AND SO ON UNTIL TC 100

    Enjoy everybody
    -----------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Trying hard to think of stuff that everyone will enjoy and I am thinking teen challenge should be a bit different from all the other challenges. Everything else is pretty specific so I want to keep TC as something a bit more relaxing and personal. Keeping it open as possible If you guys have any ideas throw them in the suggestions thread ----> Topic Ideas

    Deadline
    Sunday, June the 6th, 2010

    IMPORTANT
    1. Add a border around your image with your name and the topic, like they do with the other of the week challenges.
    2. Please use the attachment manager, it helps preserve the images to forever and beyond.
    3. Mark your final as final.

Good Luck everyone and Hope you have fun! If you have any ideas for where the teen challenge should go then please either PM me or post it in the suggestions thread.

Diarum, yeah something like that. Elements could translate into fire, earth wind water but i think you can push it further and limit limit yourself to those classic elements. Others could be metal, time maybe ect. If you need ideas check out some multi colored magic cards, because they usually need to have both colors reprsented in them. For instance a Red/Green cards will mainly have to those colors in the image.

this may seem trivial, but you actually need to combine 'O2' with two hydrogen atoms, so really you must draw two oxygen atoms... XD

all right, if I do end up attempting this, I think I'll go with some sort of steampunk alchemical contraption...

    Why does he need 2 oxygen atoms? The formula for water's H2O, so 2 H et 1 O :p

Yeah, but oxygen only exists as a diatomic molecule (O2). So water needs 4 hydrogens + 2 oxygens to form 2 molecules.

Wanna: Because oxygen does not exist in nature like that(O). Oxygen gas is two oxygen atoms together. (2 * 4 valense electrones = 8 ) Then you combine oxygen(g) with 2H2 and get two water molecules: 2 H2(g) + O2(g) → 2 H2O(l)

    Btw, cool topic nebo!

Edit: Nooo, ike ike came before me.

preview of my idea.. its mega zoomed in on the section that is most developed atm... the final will show off just about all of the .. thing...'s body
the only real danger of me not finishing this comes from my fear of colors and textures (which is all this is, furry colorfulness) ... plus i've been playing alot of super mario 64 lately ^.^ haha

this is getting off topic, but a single atom of oxygen cannot occur in nature, because it is a polar atom, meaning it must at all times be charged, and thus connected to another atom. in order to create water, one must combine 2H2 with O2, and the resulting compound is equivilant of H2O...

or something along those lines, I forget the exact process, but two oxygen atoms are required...

now, continue to speak of artwork! XD

*edit* oh, haha, I just noticed that zelda geek already explained it to you...

Cool topic, decided to just go for a lame character than a full on concept. But yeah
Hopefully traditional is ok? I just found out the topic yesterday+finals study=so no time to do a full digital render.
Yeah but basically a water-spirit, person thing. And mixed with nature/leaf/grass element.(Her hair, glasses, clothes, etc)

It's supposed to be a burning bear made of ice, in case you couldn't guess. Ice is very difficult to paint, but I gave it a try =)

Hi Guys, this is my first time here so I'm pretty new. Well, I'm not a teen, obviously. It seems friendly here, because I need to improve, serious constructive critiques. I want to look to the younger generation. Tips, hints, etc. I am saying this with much respect and honesty.
