Yay, Loomis! And your perspective studies make me happy, especially the ones dealing with shadow construction. What books have you looked at for accurate shadow construction? I have maybe one or two that I know of but I'm always on the lookout for more since it's such a rich, involved topic.

Great use of blue in your shadows. Environments are strong, all I can say is that your highlights are a little too bright in your greyscale sketches, I'm mainly referring to post #251, perhaps soften them a bit

I love how you whip out these environments with killer values... gotta work on that myself. Anyways shame you didn't get to finish the EOW piece, I thought it was really promising. Checked back on Whit Brachna's demo for that didn't you?
Back when we did the Team EOW/IDW stuff I noticed how the layers could be a problem sometimes. Like, you added layer upon layer with numerous changes or added rendering that applied to the image as a whole. As in, rather than working on a separate area (like foreground, background etc) at a time. Which is great but it can get tricky in images with lots of overlapping. For me, it helps if I actually give the layers a name or put them in folders. Reminds you that they are actually there.
Also I demand more pencil stuff. Looking really good. And more creatures. The fat werewolf is priceless. Option A is my favourite, the bare chest makes for a nice touch visually plus its a good reminder of the human side.

Anthis - glad you like the values, I've actually been doing more drawing work than value recently to atone how crap my drawings are. For you man I'll finish that enviro, just need to level up a few more ranks before i give it a go. Yeah i flipping love that whit demo, I've watched it like a million times. Dude my layer management is beyond a joke, I've just stopped caring; i tried the whole naming thing but it slows me down and confuses the hell outta me. Demand excepted, I'll draw more. And more creatures will come too. Thanks.
