Cheers for the kind words, comrades. I can't thank you both enough.
Now, I'm absalutely shattered but here's what I've done today.
Bleh. I was going to add more but CA's uploading system's bein' a shit again. I just want to go to sleeeeeeeeeeep

So glad fer the holidays. Aren't you lot? I've been looking forward to all the free time. It's looking cold and grey outside, but I think I'm going to go on a walk after this. Get some landscape sketches done.
Wicked stuff as always, Naidy. I'm looking forward to the holidays too. Unfortunately I have to spend next week in school and can't drive home until Christmas Eve :/.
Och, gutted mate! D: Hope you have a merry christmass all the same though and cheers for checking up on my updates so diligently, I don't know how you keep the energy to.
Welp. Here's another small update. Trees and sneeky self portrait in corner done from observation, my pretty princess dreamer along with her scribble backdrop off the top of my head.

Holy god how are there almost sixty pages in here.
Anyway. I really appreciate the attention to detail you put into Shayle's headdress in post 1765. Has a lot of dimension to it, her face as well.
And I shall now vanish back into the ether.

Hi! Nice work! It's good to see all the sketchbook studies and characters etc. Your original pieces kinda have an old/familiar yet new feel to it...and you have an interesting/unique color sense too.. (like the top and two bottom images in #1762)
Moar please!

Clur: I AM AN UPDATING MONSTER, THAT IS WHY. And thank you! I'm slowly getting the hang of her silly head wear. Hopefully I'll stick with a face to give her too. I'm spending the holiday to revise over everyone between art coursework.
Jephyr: Och, cheers for the kind words, mate!I'm still all new to colour theory, but I do love a good mess around, hopefully I'm learning along the way. aha
I AM TERRIBLE AT DIGITAL PAINTING. I DO BELIEVE MORE STUDIES ARE IN ORDER.

HEy. i shud tell u this more often, but i love your traditional paintings.
Hey, mate! I've actually been working on a traditional painting for someone's xmass gift, I'd have posted it already but I ought to keep it a surprise. Ahh, I'll probably end up doing more painting today though. I'm in the mood for traditional stuff at the moment. Need to study faces and figures a bit more first though.
Ah, ah, I've been having a massive problem lately. Can't slow down for the life of me, which in turn's making me frustrated, which makes me rush even more. Going to buckle down and force myself out the habit.
Oh. CA's uploader is being a massive cunt. That's a surprise. I'll post stuff up later when it decides I'm worthy or something.

I'm having a lot of trouble with the uploader too! All of the paintings in this last update are really interesting, and the style is great.
art is never finished, only abandoned~Leonardo da Vinci
I really love it when you experiment with your paints, but i have to agree, your traditional work is what really fascinates me. Great updates tho, the last post is really cool, looking forward to see more, but never rush yourself!![]()
Ezekrialase: Yeah, the uploader really isn't the best. Especially when you like to tag about 5 batches of pictures every time you update. Anyways, cheers for the kind words!
Lav: Aha! I'm so glad people like my traditional stuff so much! Hopefully my digitals will catch up too, though. I'm expecting I'm so bad at them beacuse I'm lagging behind in understanding light and colour theory. bawbawbabwwa Ah well. Annnd I'm trying to slap meself out of the rushing. Seems like the gesture stuff and doing continual line drawings kind of help me slow down a wee bit. Got some more painting done in the mean time.
This batch is all straight from the top o' me head, as you can plainly tell. ahaha.
Mornin' fellers. GUESS WHO SLEPT IN? I DID. >:CCCCCCCCCC
At this point, I've usually been up for a good five hours with a few pages of studies done. But not today. Nope. Just a page of hand studies to my name.
Great updates, i love love love the lines of your ink drawing in post #1776![]()
No matter how much you think you're slacking off, I will still be jealous of your drawing skills. And btw, the one print you did a few back (the tall, skinny one with the 3 figures) looks great! I was expecting you to go dark and earthy with the colors. The kind of iridescent color palette was a really nice surprise. Looks great!
Lav: Cheers, mate! If I've got it right, that's my attempt at continual line drawings. SHould really do them more often, they're actually pretty fun. Cheers again!
Lemming-clone: Och, kind words you have there! Thank you! And I'm glad you like the prints. Doing printmaking gives me a grand opportunity to experiment with colourschemes. Makes me more likely to take a few risks with the colour scheme.
Anyways, cheers you lot! I've done enough now to let me guilt wane a bit. Think I'll go to character sketches for a while.
Hi matey
After drifting through your pages again I have come to the innevitable conclusion that your mind is a very strange but enchanting place to visit, you put such a lot of yourself in these things!
I like it, and i dropped in to say merry christmas and a happy new year, also thanks for the help and please keep posting.

Hey, mate! Nice seeing you again and cheers for the kind words. Ahaha, it made me laugh though, considerin' how much of this is just nudes, elves and Italians lately.
Anyways, not the easiest start to the day for me. Was partying it up sober so I haven't realllllyyy had any sleep. Done some digital paintings off the top of my head to get my brain in gear again. Maybe by next year I might make some head way with digital, eh?
Welp. Merry christmas, everyone.

I was checking out my own sb...wanted to compare my growth from now to last March with an update of where I am now. Saw your name and decided to drop by. Wow...is all I can say. glad to see you are still at it.
Sombertwin: Cheers, mate! Glad to see you're still working at it yourself. Keep up the good work
Speaking of progress, thought I'd give myself an opportunity to see if I'm progressing at all myself.
http://snoodledoodle.deviantart.com/...reff-159258402 redid this from April 2010
Might do some more of the like later.
really kicking but, totally got some awesome techniques going here.
Wunts: Cheers, mate.
Plissken: Ah, wondered when you'd be back again. Hope you had a merry christmas yourself. Wouldn't say I'm working anywhere near as hard as I'd like, but atleast it's better than nothin', eh?
I've actually got more stuff than this, but the rest are full figured portraits and I fear that whilst I'm wearing jeans, a plain top and slouching worse than Gollum, someone, somewhere, would still get off on them. I KNOW THE INTERNET TOO WELL TO TAKE MY CHANCES.
Wow, the lines in your last update!I'm really impressed
About the digital paints, keep experimenting with burshes, you've made some cool results before while doing so and perhaps try to drop the hardness a little bit?
Great updates and happy holidays!
Cheers, mate. Figured I needed to work more on my lines. Oh, and that's a good idea. I've been meaning to experiment more with digital but I've only gone as far as messing with colours. I'll have a go of that tommorow.
Christ, I'll tell you what. My face is so frustrating to draw. Can't get a likeness right any time.
I like your anatomy and line work. Really interesting stuff in here.![]()
Nyoron: Och, cheers mate! Hopefully I'll beable to nail hips and shoulders someday if I keep up the studies.
