Gorgeous to look at. Id be interested in looking at the storyboards for this as well..

Some of the pauses and theatrical flourishes like the crushed pavement impacts being repeated weren't to my taste but it was all executed really well. I did get pulled out of the story with the inital pause and the moron guards just standing. I was expecting paniced reactions when he tossed the grenade, or a cautious and confused inspection.

If the intent is they are just that stupid.. a shot of them smashing their faces into sharp objects for fun would go a long way explaning their reactions in that scene.

WOW this is soo cool! I had to watch the trailer about 7 times again and again! "eye candy material" - yeah, that`s it - nothing more, but nothing less (ok, the music/sound is ear-candy as well).

Wow. I've gotta say, I'm really pleased to run into you. Cartoonbrew posted your little short and my friends have all been a-buzz about it for the past week. The general consensus has been that it's freakin beautiful. Please pass our compliments onto your animator(s?) as well. I'm especially impressed by the perfect balance of showing weight while keeping him light on his feet. I REALLY enjoyed watching this.

We did have a few groans though. A key "oh no... they didn't... they did..." moment was the "Oh look, it's on fire and appears to be defeated. 3...2...1... yup, it's standing up. Of course...". We tossed around a few jokes about how even though he's dropped his guns and left them behind they're probably going to miraculously show up again 2 scenes later and such, and noted that it feels a bit video-gamey right now without any knowledge of the story, but overall, really great proof of concept. I can't say I or any of my friends weren't sucked into the world rather thoroughly. We're looking forward to seeing the story now that we've seen the action and the world. Beautiful work.

Pretty fuckin' badass, although this reminds me of my own series. I'm not accusing you and the Black Sun team of copying, just saying that the main character is similar to mine, but different. By the way, do you have any advice for anyone trying to achieve that aesthetic?
