We are HitPoint Studios based in Western Massachusetts. We are mostly a casual game development studio but we also do advergaming.

We have immediate openings for artists for various freelance jobs which may lead to a full time job.

We are particularly looking for a digital 2D painter who can paint environments in realistic style for fantasy and/or vampire themed (kinda like Myst) Hidden Object Games. If you are unfamiliar with HO games check out this link for many examples.

Gamedev experience is a very strong plus but not essential.
Local to New England/MA is a very strong plus but not essential.

We generally prefer to work with fixed payment per gig/task but pay ranges from $15/hr to $25+/hr based on experience.

We are also often on the lookout for experts in Flash, game interface artists, 3D modelers (in Maya or Max), animators, character artists, or other cartoon style artists so feel free to send your resume in even if this particular job doesn't match.

Pay for those jobs may range from $15/hr to $45/hr based on experience and skills.

You will need to sign an NDA. All usage rights will be owned by HitPoint and/or our publishers.

Depending on the job/gig we may well arrange a 3 to 6 month contract.
