Concept Art Portfolio - Critiques are Most welcome.

    Hello all!

Submitting some of my portfolio work and would love to have your feedback on it. Constructive criticism is most appreciated; I am working to make a living of my art and want to keep developing and grow as an artist.

I am a recent graduate with a Bachelor of Science in Computer Animation (Please see my Website for my 3D Demo Reel and for additional artwork) and am freelancing at the moment - working towards my life dream of becoming a professional Character designer and Concept artist.

I can work in almost any media you can throw at me, from traditional painting and sculpting to digital.

Thank you for your time and have a great day.

    - Speed Drawings. 20 mins. each.

I like pretty much everything I see here. As far as advice or opinions on improvement, my skills are nowhere near the level where I can give worthwhile criticism, sorry =[

I have to second what Wgrace said. Those are excellently drawn, and I have no criticism of any of them.

I really like all your artwork, and your concepts are really nice. I'd say the only criticism I can see off the bat is on your punker girl. I think the posing is fantastic, but the rib cage is a little squished up into her chest. Her breasts look too high, but other than that it looks pretty nice!

I really like your environmental art you play with the colors very well. =)

wow! beautiful work! I really love all those character sketches especially the 6th one there.

I think your second piece could use some more hilights. The moon is somewhat dark and could use a bit of detail, maybe some light streaming down and hitting some spots on the ground where there is no shadow.

your 4th piece is great, but the middle area seems quite empty. I think you could either shorten the piece by moving the castle over and cropping the right side, or adding some mountains or something else in the middle section.

in your 7th piece (the speed drawings), I really like the top right one. It would be great to see some more sketches of that and maybe a finished enviro.

on the 10th piece, the water ripples (I think thats what they are) should maybe end where the curtain is being pulled, so it only shows the middle. or maybe you could just darken the outside a bit so it looks a bit thicker. that's a powerful piece though.

I love all your work here and would love to see some more!!
