Well, there's the strong spotlight, then everything else seems to cast a shadow away from the spotlight source, except the tree, which seems to have a strong light from behind it (away and sharp left of us.) Since it's the only thing affected by that source of light, I'd say lose that source. Lose the tree's shadow, lighten the lower trunk, darken the upper trunk (shadow from canopy.) The small shadow under the largely build central figure suggests a large light source more on his front than his back, so the shadow that the rocks cast should probably be behind them, not in front of them. The angle of central figure's head, and flatness of forehead and hair (as they appear drawn) would cast less shadow onto the upper face.
