    Skin Tone Help?

I'm sure I need some heavy fixing on this one, I'm pretty bad with skin tones evidently. I doubt I'm picking up highlights and shadows right, and after looking at it so long wondering what I'm doing wrong, I just dont think I'm going the right way. Anything you guys and gals think I can do to take this up a notch?

It's still a heavy WiP, but I definitely feel as if it needs more.

Doesn't look like much is "wrong with the sking tones, but if that is a child there would be less tan or orange and more pink probably. Those highlights are way too strong though.

Skin as a lot of subtle variations in its tone; you're kind of jumping between wildly saturated hues, like on the sternocleidomastoid, and completely flat tan. The color will also be largely affected by the light around it, and I'm not sure what kind of light you're going for here. The strong, thin and white highlights are more like rim lights, and I don't find much actual backlighting (as one might find in the shadow of the neck).

I'm also confused as to whether the person's torso is facing towards or away from us. The way the sternocleidomastoid and head are oriented is ambiguous.

It's not bad, just do more, browns and flesh have undertones, keep them warm, into the pink. Be careful of yellow or blues. Do 50 more and ask again.
