I always love seeing the different ways people start their paintings. It's amazing how you can shape black silhouettes into such impressive forms. Kudos and keep on it.

Another...
My archer...thing..
My horse... man! Hope you guys like...
Monk'ish guy getting better. Two girls (especially second one) are really awesome, though second one has strange legs - bit misproportioned. Try to check length. Centaur guy ok, but fix rear legs in the front perspective - they should be all the way down to the floor from that point of the view.
Anyway - everything looks very good, just try to explore other colours and play with values a little bit - i feel some flatness here and there. Keep going man )

Also, try to go less overboard with the metallic shines: those metal objects look very rugged by looking at their texture, yet their highlights are very "clean" and hard, making the material inconsistent.
Even bigger brushes
Hope that helps!
Thank you guys for the comments and critiques, they are very helpful! I am trying very hard to uh... not be so bad! So I will leave you guys with one of my speedy girl sketches before I go to bed! Thanks again friends!

I dont have much else to crit, but maybe get some diferent color schemes going here and there
Thanks for the comments Vatsel! Here is another before I go to bed! Hope you like it!
what can I say... I was inspired! Here are some fun ladies, well I had fun anyway. I hope you like them!
Really enjoyed my browse through your thread! This stuff is great. I'd love to see you generating even more ideas rather then just seeing so many near finished products. You handle the form really well, too! Everything really pops out off the screen for me. Keep pushing those awesome textures too. I can't wait to see your stuff continue to evolve as you move forward. Keep pushing!!
Hey mate, nice ladies, though you shoud've smooth gradients in the blue one. Cheers!

Yep, these last 3 ladies are very good, can definitely see the "big brushes" at work now
Also, nice play with the edge variation to suggest their movement!
Hey man, why you stopped? Hope you're ok!

These are some of the paintings I do early in the day to warm up. I try to keep these under an hour. paintings by Weistling, Gerhartz, and random... enjoy
woah... a little big, Ill keep that in mind next time I posthaha
Nice paintings, certainly great studies. Some odd bits seem off here and there about your characters tho, super swish as they are, practicing some forms over just using ref could help polish them off.
Keep it up.

Its been a LONG time... here goes some painting goodness for you! C&C always welcome, this is an older work!
Just experimenting with backgrounds and colors a little more.. Fail? yes... maybe hah
Some concepts...
Pushing one of the past concepts a little...
Another one of the concept busts from the earlier post, just messing around seeing how far I can push myself... C&C as always my friends!![]()
I see a lot of progress. The fem portrait in post 56 is definetely great. Some previous pieces - some anatomy practice won't hurt. Going from abstract form try to get more solid forms. Like in post 53 there is plenty of unnecessary details and angles, which breaks overall silhouette. Keep going mate.
