Hello CA!

It's been awhile since my last post. But i've been checking often here and getting inspired =).

I've been working on god of war 3 for last past three years and I was lucky enough to work with awesome and inspiring artist! Big thanks to the Santa monica studio team!! ( + cecil, andy , Izzy, andrew,erik and cliff) anyways here are some art work that i produce for god of war 3 ! enjoy

Thanks for sharing this work, I've been hoping to see some of the concept work for GoW3 on CA. It's a gorgeous looking game, and this art is definitely one of the reasons why. I love the epic sense of scale and the inventiveness of the environments. Keep up the good work.

Epic art for an epic game!

Couple questions if you dont mind....Were most of these done before production as inspirational peices? Or are they paintovers of rough level blockouts? How much back and forth was there with level deisgners (if any?).

I JUST finished the game. I actually find the III to be the best of them. More artistic in the storytelling and a GREAT ending. I am totally in awe. The art you have created gave me the exact feeling as in the game. Splendid mate. Splendid and beautiful!

emrahelmasli : Thanks man . I try to do more looser sketch on my own time. I really love how other artist paint loose but captures the whole mood just indication of couple brush strokes.

we'll try our best to bring out the next game!

Mandryk : I join the team right after the pre production was over =( so no inspirational
painting or any blue sky painting . probably 70% percent of my work was painted over on rough 3d model. so it was kind of hard and tricky because there was lot of restrition and guide line that i had to fololw. but i learned alot!

and there was alot of back and forth work with level designer and 3d environment artist while working on these concept. so i tried to do lot of my personal painting after work =)haha
