A girl in a cloak.
@ajtabril - Thanks, I'm really glad you guys started the Bridgman thread in the mentoring section. I drew these last night.
more Bridgman...
Thanks for your comment about Amazon. For some reason I never think of ordering things on line.
Looks like your're off to a good start. I would discourage only studying Bridgman simply because most of his example illustrations are highly stylized. Once you have some good foundation skills, go out and draw from life (the subway is a great place to do this).
Thanks for the advice aimee. I don't know if I could draw in public..it's hard enough putting my stuff on this site haha. Yeah, Bridgman's drawings are hard to read sometimes.
Anyway, here is some more Bridgman and posemaniacs...set to 90 seconds.
hi there! thank you for stopping by my sketchbook! the work here looks great. keep up with the bridgman studies. i love bridgman. i switch back and forth between him and loomis but always seem to enjoy working from bridgman more. it think its the lively feel of his lines that i enjoy so much. anyway, keep it up looking good!
the posemaniacs are looking really good !

some vanderpoel studies, and another bargue plate
Hi there, nice sketchbook so far! Maybe you should try to draw a little more loose. I feel like your lines are really thoughtfully placed and therefore a bit stiff. Good start with your studies and greetings to Japan, wish I could go there again soon![]()
some great stuf m8! good that you read Bridgeman. Keep it coming

Here's another Bargue plate. Wow, this one took me forever. I tried to pay attention to line weight.
It took forever but it's well worth it mate! Very nice line and form and it just reads so well!
Now do some stuff from reference to see how real life acts like or even better do some self portraits and drawings of yourself or a model. Family and friends are great too
Just keep going though!
Hullo there, I adore the eye sketches you did, they're so realistic
I do believe I see an improvement so Keep up the good work!![]()
Charcoal on smooth newsprint.
Hi, thank you for the encouragement !
You are in a good way if you continue your studies, your portraits are very nice.
Maybe consider studying loomis also for the construction of the Head.
and continue updating !
To be or not to be, this is the question !
