ROUND #195 :: Mystic Gunslinger

DESCRIPTION


Mystic Gunslinger

This wild west character, not satisfied with the power of their 6-shooter, has combined the use of pistols with magic. It’s up to you how the combination works and what effect it has.

While the character can be from any time period, the pistol(s) and costume must reflect the wild west theme. He or she can be wielding laser pistols or steam punk compressed gas handguns, so long as we can look at them and see that they really have a thing for the old cowboy tales.

Here is the wip... Damn I should have gave her a whip...

Six-eye Jane was born in London where her father work as a curator for a museum specialized in egyptian relics. Born blind she spent most of her youth in the museum storage rooms. After some year of dabbling with lost munuscript she uncovered some ancient ritual and the result was some kind of mistical vision. From then on she could rely on her eyes, her six glowing, floating eyes watching for her in six directions at once. She soon understood that the gift could be used, and embarqued on a ship to the new world where she would be known as Six-Eye Jane the gunslinger mystic for the next century.

back story:

She was once a rebellious woman in the wild west, riding with the lads and thieving every bank she came across alongside her band of outlaws.

One day, she decided that money wasn't enough - she wanted power, more power. She wanted to become the most powerful woman (and person) in the wild west, so she went on a quest for finding what could bring her the power she longed for.

One day, she came across an old indian; she was rude and insulting, and when she asked where she could find an item of power, he pointed her to a forbidden cave. The man, obviously, seeing her wicked and greedy nature, didn't tell her where she could find power - he told her where she could find damnation. But he didn't tell her that.

So she went to that cave, and there lived many spirits, all evil in nature. When asked what she wanted, she responded with "power"; that was their que. They all pounced at her and took possession of her body, soul, heart, and mind; they even reshaped her guns to serve their purpose.

She is now nothing more than a marionette. The spirits use her to kill people so they could enter their bodies - basically, she is their temporary host until they can each find another person to live in.

Alas, when she said power, she didn't quite specify which power she wanted, or to whom it would belong. Choose your wording right, kids.

Concept- The idea behind my Mystic Gunslinger is that he was given a gift/curse by the little native Indian Boy who happens to ride his turtle ( a fast walking one ). He was trying to save the Indians from a massacre, but failed to save all except for the boy. The pistol is the cowboy's weapon. Although, it's huge and heavy, he is the only one capable of using it as if it were the normal size. The pistol could only be operated using his mystical gift.

It was difficult to figure out where to go with this. The options seemed limited.

I thought of playing with levitation or mutation (apparently I wasn't the only one). I also thought of melting a cowboy with an Indian shaman.

Finally I went for the slick look. I wanted a mixture between a professional hitman and a dark wizard.

It would be awesome to see those six hands appearing suddenly from under the coat, shooting, reloading and fidgeting, all at the same time.

Ever since man could weild magic mages and wizards have existed, through out the ages they have walked among people, and even today some walk amongst us, for those magi who could not keep their power a secret or the users of dark magic were often hunted by the head mages private enforcers known only as Ghosts.
