A lot has changed for me and my skill, and since the last sketchbook was 4 plus pages of mostly me fighting against being a newbie, I'm starting a new one.


Recently graduated, and currently interning at a game company--Hoping to get to post a lot more not only in quality but in quantity as well!

Character portrait work done in zbrush--all textures and such done in zbrush pretty much just a composite of the original and then a render with some specularity to make things a bit more lively.

This is medium res and the hands are shoddy because i don't want to touch them until i'm ready.

Turning towards UI and might be concepting it first---Hopefully it helps but look for posts for that exploration ^^ as I have realized UI is little talked about ....just about anywhere unless you're already at the studio talking to the crew

Now I'm currently a full-time artist, but right now I'm more of a generalist than anything. Working hard on the side still to try to keep up with my art lead and the other talented folk I now can call my coworkers.

Cool stuff, I like the mars lady the best. She's got a good expression on her face.

Yeah, I agree she was one of the faster images I've done lately, but she's still one of the better ones to me as well!

thinking about entering the creature into a paintover thread on another community, as they seem very welcoming and helpful but--not sure. either way that one is a WIP

Some nice stuff coming through. Be good to see some models too? You mentioned earlier you're pursuing 'UI' - as in user interface? That's very graphic design driven (or at least influenced) so I'd recommend checking out related sites / mags for inspiration.

Hey thanks! first off X)

Right now I'm an 'artist' but a lot of my work is UI related, since it's entry level I haven't been in much design for the stuff but some concept art I'm doing now is helping me with lines and color. ((can't show that stuff though lol))

I'll have to go find some graphic design resources as that's a stellar idea

Just working a lot on my professional job which currently doesn't call for concept art. A sketch derived from the final image--and the final image being more of pure conceptual idea piece for me.
