phew...study of Crixus from Spartacus series...i already spent too much time on the body, and was too lazy to finish face and belt...

it takes me many hours to paint something, could anyone give me some tips how to be faster? or is it just training, training, training...?

rendering is getting better, but i'd suggest using bigger brush strokes, filling out, and defining form before going into do the details, that way you know what you haven't done, so you're not redefining your forms

Good work dude, looks like you are making good progress. With regard to painting faster, I wouldn't worry too much about that for now, it will come with practice, but the main thing for both speed and stronger work is always to be looking for the 'big picture' - i.e. look for the big shapes and values and relationships and lay these in in big brush strokes, don't worry about detail.

That armour study looks good, nice work. Keep at it and with the studies, you're doing good!

started as a quick sketch, I thought I would make it in colour...but laziness prevailed and I finished it like this...

ookay, i haven't posted anything in quite a while...to be honest, I felt quite discouraged after I saw the skill of some guys here and the progress they made and compared to them I felt like I was painting with a potato.
Well I changed my mind and I'm starting to post again. Even if no one really cares

okay, an update
I started to focus more on portraits...
After finishing the second one I realized I have no idea how to paint the foliage like that in the background, so I guess I'll start drawing more trees and other green stuff
