Hey there, my name is David. I'm 17 years old and I come from Slovakia. I've been around here for almost a year I think, but I didn't find courage to share my drawings just until now

I'd like to work some day as an concept artist. I'd appreciate some critique on my drawings, thanks.

Wow, nice looking works, the only - I can come up with is the lack of color. Your works would look even more awesome if digitaly coloured. Are you thinking of that?

good pencil technique mate!!!
I like the way you render with your pencil. As long as you eep your line crisp and clear, you're on a very good track.

Keep pushing on your studies, both portraits and anatomy. Try some quicker sketches, not focusing so much on the rendering, but on the analogies. Especially with the human body, grab some refference, anything, from posemaniacs to people on the street, sports photos, pausing your favourite movies, random pics, playboy, pick your favourite, and go nuts. Draw fast and small, and don't mind about the details. Just getting the relative sizes of all the body parts and the sence of movement in the figure.

phew, haven't been around lately, had a lot of work, didn't have much time to draw, etc...Now that's changed, I'll try to update at least once a week...

update...I started the second one with HB pencil, but then i decided to draw with mechanical 0.7 pencil, I think the difference can be seen there somewhere

I really like your pencils, both the realistic and the fantasy ones.
Love the way you got the metalic texture on the armor and in general the strong shadows!
I suggest you to continue using the wood pencil and not the machanical one, especially for the skin shading. Well, this is just my personal opinion

Seems like you are very comfortable with those graphite pencils

Perhaps experiment with coloured pencils? This sketchbook is very black and white right now

Wow, I totally forgot about my acc here...since no one really cares I'm just gonna put some drawings in here

I also tried working with colored pencils, but i don't think it's any worth and I'd rather keep the drawings to myself...

the first one is a drawing of replica of Venus from our art school, second is my self-portrait

and the third is just some random fantasy guy
