True progress means matching the world to the vision in our heads.
But we always change the vision instead.
I'm planning a month long journey through Europe in September. For two weeks i'll be traveling through London and Ireland with friends but I have an extra two and a half weeks for myself. I have two choices, I can go to Paris or hit up Barcelona. Both sound incredibly fun and inspirational for my art. However, there is so much I want to see but so little time. What should I do? I'd love to hear what people think!

I just got back from the most amazing trip ever. I spent a month traveling the UK and explored countries I always dreamed of visiting as a child. We kicked off the trip by celebrating my buddies stag party in Dublin. Than we had an amazing wedding in a 200 year old cathedral in London. Than I traveled south to Spain to enjoy tapas, the beaches, and sangria. I got back several days ego and now I'm already planning my next trip.
Its funny, while I was walking through the national portrait galleries in London, I found this:
http://www.amazon.com/Jean-Leon-Gero...6291618&sr=8-1
I nearly crapped myself. Gerome is one of my favorite artist but alas, the only book I found of his costs almost $200. But the good ol Getty published a this new book thats affordable! I just bought it and highly recommend it to anyone who's into the whole oriental thing which I'm sure many of you are.
Cheers

Last month was a little tough for me and my art. I was walking in downtown Eugene to my car and saw the passenger window bashed. My laptop was jacked along with my intuos 4 Wacom. So its been rough since I can't paint at the moment. So I've been doing a little bit of drawing and practicing with my markers again. Here's some thumbs and sketches.

Finally worked up enough money and forked out a cheep ass acer with a new Wacom. After going through relationships, doing landscaping for money, and having my PC stolen, I rarely touched a pencil or even thought about art since May. Its been one hell of a summer. But after traveling through Europe and reuniting with life long friends, I finally Returned to my work. I plan on starting my own business and create, design and paint for friends and associates. Here's some work from today. Cheers.
