EOW 134 Spring Arrives after endless winter

    Brief
The world has been in frozen stasis, the people have survived by adapting to a permanent winter conditions. Finally after several generations , when spring is just a myth, it arrives. not with a fanfare but subtley as the planet warms.

An outside host means exactly that - an image host that's not Conceptart.org. Instead of adding the thumbnail with the attachment manager you have to host it on another site (your private domain, photobucket, (both recommended) or imageshack for instance).
The full image gets added with the attachment manager, however.

After you uploaded the thumbnail somewhere, you simply add the [IMG] [/IMG] around it and you're done

    did I miss the deadline?

I don't see my entry on the list? Hm. If I submit on the deadline date, before midnight, is that too late for the contest?

haha, yea i chickened out at the last minute. I wasn't happy with what i did, didn't really achieve the result i wanted... wasn't happy with my composition etc. Great entries here btw. I voted hilding. I really like the city environment, the sun going through the architecture, etc. Really feels like an epic moment. Good stuff all around though and cool topic.

Great round! I really liked Merlin, Hilding, and Ramza's entries, but chose Ramza in the end because it was well rendered, and fit the brief the closest. Merlin's was well rendered too, I just felt like the only way I knew what the picture was about was because of the topic description, and not the painting/composition itself. Hilding's was great, but didn't seem to follow the "arriving without fanfare" part of the brief, with the huge sunrays and large crowds.

ArtZealot, you should finish that and post to your SB!

yea... i think your right. I shouldn't just trash it. It just needs more hours than i was able to for this one. I think you've talked me into it.

    Nice pictures as aways.
My vote goes to Ramza, I think it is closest to the topic.
The city looks like its frozen for years and then a ray of light points to the green tree, which looks almost holy.

    invinciblewombat:
Very nicely rendered I love the way you painted it. But it looks more like "after a winter battle".

hilding: Very nice too, great light effect and looks like a lot of work. But to be honest, at first glance I thought they would all go into the building where it is warm and comfortable.
