I don't know about the rest of the world but here, aside the couple thing, Valentine's day is also called friends' day which in reality translates to girls having a social obligation to make crappy, pointless card snippets and chocolates and whatnot to every other girl, who is their friend/friend's friend/friend's friend's friend because if you don't you automatically don't care about them and obviously don't deserve them as your friends. Thank god it's Sunday this year! No school ergo I can stay at home w/o crafting a single card and not feel bad about it.
Eh, people don't celebrate Valentine's day around here. At least not to the extent as they do in the VS (that's what I'm assuming, anyway).
So I'm celebrating Feb. 15th: day of the 30% discounted chocolate.
Ugh. Feelings. Fuck em.
well this is my contribution!
there are people everywere, really all you have to do is start talking ! (there are other advantages too, i got 2 boxes of tasty tasty chicken a fruit salad and a salad for freee on friday because i was friendly with the sandwhich shop owners )
you should really ask yourself, is the way i act attractive? being all desperate n shit or jaded or souless whatever you call it would you spend the time fixing someone who wont fix themselves?
and love is just a chemical reaction, a really really fun chemical reaction, but thats it, it shouldn't dominate your life (not that i can really talk... hah im stupid when it comes to girls... lol) but you should allow yourself to indulge!..... just like with drugs
[obligatory single guy "fuck valentines day" comment used to cover up loneliness]
here's my two cents:
Remember that time when complaining about something worked better than actually doing something to fix it?
Jason, I have no idea what that's suppose to mean, but you made me laugh so hard my roomates came in to check on me.....
EDIT: oh.. yeah, now I SEE
Thread salvage in 3, 2, 1..
Does it fill you with dread and a sense of obligation you don't necessarily care to fulfill? If so then ditch the chick you're with. When you're comfortable with someone you don't really do anything more special on valentine's than any other freaking day..
If Valentine's Day is the only day of the year you people feel lonely you should be glad.
ps: here's a better use for that "loving" hand that was mentioned in this thread too much :
