I don't know about the rest of the world but here, aside the couple thing, Valentine's day is also called friends' day which in reality translates to girls having a social obligation to make crappy, pointless card snippets and chocolates and whatnot to every other girl, who is their friend/friend's friend/friend's friend's friend because if you don't you automatically don't care about them and obviously don't deserve them as your friends. Thank god it's Sunday this year! No school ergo I can stay at home w/o crafting a single card and not feel bad about it.

Eh, people don't celebrate Valentine's day around here. At least not to the extent as they do in the VS (that's what I'm assuming, anyway).

Gifts in relationships to me, have these meanings. If the person already loves you, its icing on the cake. But if they have no attraction/love, they may appreciate the gift but it won't change their minds about you, they might even feel guilty for accepting it if they know your reasoning behind the thought of giving.

Thanks for a well measured and non-pessimistic response. Ugh see I'm just not sure. I know we had some great chemistry for some time but she broke up with me because she hadn't gotten over some other guy (who there is no possibility of her going out with because he lives across the country and they don't talk at all). It sounds like bullshit but, through other means, i know that its the truth. So I'm not sure if this willhelp reignite the initial spark by showing how much I care, but it is most likely just beating a dead horse. And despite that and every other logical reason against it (believe me, theres a lot) I'll probably end up going through with it. And I was also gonna attach a letter too, not to express my deep and intimate love or anything (that would probably not help my case), but basically explain how I knew it was a lost cause but I felt like doing it anyways. Makes no sense, right? I know.

there are people everywere, really all you have to do is start talking ! (there are other advantages too, i got 2 boxes of tasty tasty chicken a fruit salad and a salad for freee on friday because i was friendly with the sandwhich shop owners )

you should really ask yourself, is the way i act attractive? being all desperate n shit or jaded or souless whatever you call it would you spend the time fixing someone who wont fix themselves?

and love is just a chemical reaction, a really really fun chemical reaction, but thats it, it shouldn't dominate your life (not that i can really talk... hah im stupid when it comes to girls... lol) but you should allow yourself to indulge!..... just like with drugs
