about half way done with this. details and the valley are next. maybe a temple off in the distance. i really want to portray him at the top of the world over looking ancient japan.

10 hours using painter and photoshop.
I like using painterX to start my sketches, especially after adjusting the simple water brush to match painterVI's.

finally was able to do a Frazetta homage as well. He was a huge influence when I was studying college, wish I could have had the chance to meet him in person.
