Great details on the human figures, and the beasts are really well done in shapes and poses!
Mybe the grayscale illustrations lacks a bit of depth (a bit more contrast could be useful I think)

You have a wonderful imagination luffie! A definitely great start to a sb. I'd work on cleaning up your linework and painting a bit - use less strokes to do the work of many, and I'm sure you'll be well on your way.

An image that I did and abandon previously, I went back to work on it again. Now that I come back on it, I notice many areas that can be improved. By the way, to those who are curious, it's about Hercules in steampunk era.

A simple questions pops my mind, I've seen some people with a single sketch and receive tons of feedback, while mine receive about 1 or 2 after several image... so "how do I increase the views on my sketchbook?"

(I am thinking, it might be due to the time differences here, I am in singapore which is in South East Asia, while I am updating my SB, most people are actually asleep...)

So would anyone care to help,pleasee??

really good use of imagination dude, really like whats come out so far. were the sketches at the top of the first post pretty old, because the improvement is drastic from them top ones (not including the dragon tamer)

Don't worry about getting comments too much! As you spend some more time on CA you start to make friends. Go out and comment on others sbs- it's just like real life. If you don't make an attempt to meet some people you're going to end up a bit lonely. Participate in some weeklies for example.

Hercules looks awesome! You just pack in the detail don't you. Maybe if you'd look up some ref photos for the pose you'd be able to get him looking a bit more realistic. The arm to out left is very short. Also watch that your lightsource is consistant. Hercules has light coming from the top left, while the snakies have completely different lighting.

1. Create a good copypasta, for example 'Hello mate, your stuff is really great! Waiting for more! xoxoxo'
2. Post it in every thread on the first page of SKETCHBOOKS; +10 points for threads with fresh update
3. ???
4. PROFIT!

(; Don't worry about the timezone, there are people from all around the world here. Try to stick around, post a comment when you mean it, and just update. You need some time to get some people subscribe your thread. Remember that people usually comment to give an advice or critique, or to 'OMGBBQ you so awesome more please', so people with comments are usually begginers asking for help or pros with 3 years old sketchbook and 1k of subscribers.
Don't worry about it anyway. The main purpose of keeping a sketchbook is to draw more to update it often. Just post and people will come (:

Really like the colour version of your cyber cyclops character. And the Steam Punk Hurcules looks amazing. SO MUCH DETAIL!. Its such a shame it all gets lost on the computer screen though. maybe you oughta print it out once your done with it. Keep up the great work dude. you got some crazy talent goin on there!

Schwa81: wow, your first post on my sketchbook? Thanks and congrats! I hope you start a s SB thread too! About Hercules actually I am trying to learn to paint less details though, cos it can be a real pain in the ass sometimes! But glad you love it, gonna heed your advice and print it!

the piece "geeks are cool" is just sweet, she got a lovely expression.
i just think you should to play more with the black and white thing, doing darker pieces and parts and lighter ones too...to balance the drawing, the way it is is just confuse, but still beautiful

ProgDraws: glad you love those illustrations, they are not the type that are usually loved here, it's more digital paintings here.

Since some people love the Hercules sketch, I thought I post the initial character design sketch here. There's no dragon sketch here, since it's more of random mess, and most of the designs are modified on the fly.

keep it up man i'm impressed . i like how you render out the detail in your paintings. where you really get a good sense of material. really nice. i also like how you have the possibility to switch styles you got the more anime inspired ones and then you got a more realistic style, wich feels like that of a fantasy fan that's growing up and pushing out more mature content wich i really really like and yet you still keep a very nice degree of childish imagination(good thing) don't ever lose that.

one comment i would like to make is that your faces have good expression but i feel like the eyes in your paintings could use some more love. cause the face is really one of the biggest focal points. take a look at the guild wars 2 concept art if you haven't already cause your art made me remind me of it. anyway kepe it up ^^ i'll be waiting eagerly for more.
