Ok,

For the past 4 years i have studied Concept design in Christchurch New Zealand, i was a finalist in 2009 World of Wearable Art's, and trying my Bloody Hardest to get into Weta Studios, i have met Richard taylor and swapped Cards, and this is my first time i decided to join this site, i from the beginining didnt want to put myself into the world i was, and still am kinda scared, i am utterly respectfull of the Concept Artists of the world, and knew when i made my presence know i better be ready!, so here i am World, i now stand in front of you...............

I was so nervous my first post too hehe. People on here are so freakin cool and helpful tho. No one would ever rag on your efforts.

And along those lines, I like this a lot. I wish I knew what it was exactly, but the composition and colors are spot on. The type is working well too which is something I am terrible at!

Ok so this is Aquastra, an Archaic Jellyfish Utopian city, basicly my version of Atlantis, they travel the oceans and on one day of each year meet in the Atlantic deep underwater trench and join together to form a Giant underwater city, where my race" The Aegeans" talk shop. i will start adding the other Images over the next week to give you a good idea what these guys are all about.

I really like the idea, the use of the vertical canvas is a good choice. I think you could push this further though, especially to get the concept you explained across more clearly. At first I didn't realize that the entity was a jelly fish because of the serpentine body you have used. Jelly fish use multiple tendrils to propel themselves. Also, the top of the jelly fish looks more like a circus tent than a biological being.

The architectural features could use some fixing in terms of perspective, and might benefit from a more flowing, sleeker design to match the look of a jelly fish. The Whale on the left side could use a little fixing with his fins, one looks a lot different than the other.
