Teen Challenge 76: -[Goblin War Machine]-

TEEN CHALLENGE 76


The Rules:
1. No old work, sketches or WIP's, finished works made specificly for this weekly only!
2. Be sure to focus on the topic (and try to be creative).
3. Keep the size of your picture reasonable (about 1000 pix either direction) if you think it'll add to the composition, you can derivitate from this rule.
4. Color and B&W are both allowed.









The Topic: 'Goblin war machine'

This one is pretty straightforward, Design any kind of goblin war machine with a goblin operator (doesn't neccecarely have to be seen). Besure to show your kind of way it works (Steampower, electrical, etc.).



IMPORTANT
1. (Not in order right now)
2. Please use the attachment manager from now on, it helps preserve the images forever and beyond.
3. Mark your final as final.

cool2fool - i believe its a goblin in a lord of the rings/warhammer/magic the gathering sense, just google goblin plus one of those and you'll have a good idea

Late-ish entry started this weekend...
This is my black and white sketch and will add color after work.

My idea is a stomping, choping, spiky, giant-size, bipedal machine, running on a coal engine inside the Mouth-looking chassis. The goblins don't worry about safety...just shock factor and killing factor! Of course the engine would go in the front! Direct hit equals big explosion!


Will probably add smoke also...cause that machine is working up a sweat.

a quick concept for the machine,
question: is a scene desired? ( machine with relating backdrop), or can it just be on white?

I scribbled something some days ago.... Started to finish it digitally today.....

I also made some concept scribbles on a different page, but forgot to scan that.... Maybe I'll do that later...



Steam powered. Will be pretty rusty, nearly falling apart. But ouch, if it hits you


Oh, and additional wagons can be added (see small sketch).

Crispi: You don't have to put on a background for this type of challenge... The main priority of the challenge is the machine.

Milay: Thanks for the compliment. Your drawing is coming along nicely and you have plenty of time to finish rendering and things like that.
I would recommend looking at chariots, and early 19th century steam powered vehicles. Cause in your 3/4 view it doesn't look like the vehicle is really balanced, like it is in your side view.

King22edu: I think it would be cool to see you push the cannon tank.

coo2fool: Your goblins are cool but you need to add a machine...the goblins aren't really necessary.

algorithmic: The goblin powered idea is pretty neat, but you should rethink it, because there isn't really any machine in your concept.
Think about how the goblins can move the machine, are they inside or outside? Do they interact with the machine like a bike or some otherway? What is the machine made of? Just work the ideas out on paper and then take it to the computer.
