The thumbnail is created from the first image attached to your first post in the thread.
I understand that, but is there any way to change the original thumbnail to a new one? I see people do it occasionally and I don't know how to do it myself.
You have to edit your post, remove the old pic and upload a new one.
No thumbnail was created when I posted my sketchbook thread, why is this??
You have your images hosted on photobucket. They actually need to be uploaded to this site, using the attachment feature. It is the button that looks like a paperclip.
I started a thread in the 3D, Sculpture & Toys forum a few days ago. Having trouble getting a thumbnail to appear to the left of my threads title. My first post has photobucket linked photos and one attached image which I updated today when I posted an update to the thread. I hoped that when I deleted the first attachment and uploaded the second one it would correct the problem. Here is a link to my thread: Link
Am I missing a step? Thanks.
That's strange. I have no explanation.![]()
Hi Emily, I'm not sure if you also noticed or not, but forums with thumbnail options outside the sketchbook and finally finished threads have a habit of rotating too. So there's definitely something funny going on with how they're put in the database/or scripted.
I recently tried to switch the picture next to my sketchbook thread and now there is no thumbnail showing up there at all when it used to work fine (and yes I used the attachment manager). I've noticed that there are a number of others whose thumbnails are not showing up, so I'm wondering if you and I are having the same problem. Maybe we just need to wait for the database to refresh or something.
