I reaaaaallly like the colors on this, and I like how much you can see the process; I'm glad you're planning on keeping the pencils.

    Your sketchbook is great!

Hey guys, going to post various versions of this concept as I start to work on it in colour. As always I went pretty detailed with the linework.

    negiman - Thank you!

kevin_ - Thanks man, will actually post the finished piece this weekend. (just got a few tweeks to make)

nim - Your recent stuff is looking great btw.

kraszi - Thanks man, Thats an old piece btw.(2007) Ok, I originally intended that to be black and white and all in inks. I later added the colour in acrylics.
Was actually inspired by 'The Sirens of Titan' by Kurt Vonnetgut. (pretty great olschool sci-fi)

G@m - Aside from taking a moleskin around with you and sketching whenever your bored, I would recommend just practise being more fluid on the wacom. I like to try use it kinda like a calligraphy pen. Keep the lines simple. Hope that helps.

Your sketching style is quite nice, I like its delicacy and the amount of details you're putting into them.

Interesting work, I like the approach and your special style.
I would like to see some digital black and white portraits from you
or anything black and white, something rendered in greyscale, even
a graphite pencil drawing could be good. And I would like to see some
doodles and scribbles from you, to see what’s on your mind lately.
Nice lines on the half human half bird above. And the portrait is
    coming along nicely.

love love love the linework and environments. the only thing that's looking like it may need attention are your mechanical designs, im not sold on their functionality. try taking cues from existing mechanical objects and keep in mind user interactions.

Had a look through your sketchbook. Great works! I really like your landscapes and would love to see more of them. Could you tell me a bit about how you do a landscape? which steps do you go through and what's good to think off when doing them? I especially like this one - http://conceptart.org/forums/attachm...1&d=1298326752

Also looking forward to seeing the bird-creature!

    BlackDelphin -Cheers mate.

LtPlissken - Thanks man, actually Im just about to post some black and white biro drawings. Just need to scan them in.

takashmen - No problem, will do.

invinciblewombat - Thanks man, Yeah I agree 100%. I think i just prefer drawing 'organic' things. Will work on it though.

    Niam - Thank You.

DefiledVisions - Sure No problem. Actually that was a quick one. All in Photoshop - No reference. Started out in grey scale with a large textured brush then added colour. I just used the laso tool to mask out areas on the ground where I wanted a change of texture.(water etc..) Clouds were loosely painted in with a soft Brush while the ground/mountains with a hard textured brush. Finally just refined areas with a small brush and eraser. Hope that helps! I was thinking I might have a go of at making a few .Gifs showing my process.

    Griffin (Creature Design Portfolio work).

Just a bit of fun but I thought I would try my hand at a mythology inspired creature design.

Thought I would post this now just in case the Mayans were in fact actually correct and the ‘End of the World is Nigh’.
