Jorhainnes' brave attempt at sketching more regularly

As many others i've been lurking around these forums for... well... too long. So i thought i would make a brave attempt at posting my sketches here every now and again.

All the feed-back you have are welcome, since I do want to improve.

I had a bit of self-critique concerning the stiffness of my paintings... so today i did some quick sketches of different poses.

I might have to do more of these, they were quite fun and challenging to do.

I got inspired to try and draw some faces. I seem to have a hard time drawing female faces... Hmmm... wonder why?

I love the look Xenophilius Lovegood has as the HP trio asks what the symbol stands for, he looks to be saying: "... This? By the love of all Blibbering Humdingers, you call yourselves wizards?!"

Keep up the good fight man! I also need to post how much time it took to draw something when i am finished with the sketch. it gives you a good reference later down the line.

@Eternal Apprentice I sure will! And yes, writing down how long stuff takes does help. But you have to keep remembering when you started sketching... which I don't usually ^^

    And here's a WIP; It's Kirby!

Wow, you have some really nice stuff here going. I like the way you construct things, it's all pretty solid. Concerning the Kirby, is it intentionally that his open eye is less cutesy than in the first sketch? It makes him a little harder to recognise. And in the Gandalf sketch I think you could use more difference between the lightest and darkest value

    Check these out too:

@Kjesta Thanks for the critique! I'll take it on and see what i can do with it The Gandalf piece i realize is pretty crappy ^^ but I learned quite a lot from doing it. Thinking of doing it once more to see if I can get it right a second time around. And for the Kirby piece, you have a very good point there! I'm going to post as it progress.
